i called every DMV and MOV in TN and almost every one told me to take it in and let them look at it.. and a couple of them told me about this long process of: (1)getting a police officer to come out and verify the VIN #, (2) then take alot of pictures of the scooter (3) take it to a dealership to get it apprased (i guess that is to make me PAY taxes on the blood sweat and tears i have put into the restoration ) (4) then all that will get sent to nashville so they can check the records and get in touch with the family that i have already tryd to talk too.... all this ring around the rosy is gonna cost me a few hundred dollars and acomplish close to nothing... i have been looking in to just buying a frame from some one who had a honda c70 with a title (CraigsList).. and swapping everything over and registering it with the new vin's.. but these ppl are freeking proud of thier passports man! 1200 for the cheapest one, even if its just a dang frame with a title!!! crazy!!! so looks like i would be better off dropping a few hundred at the court house to get a new title... what exactly is a bonded title?

maybe one of those title places can help? It is always suggested when someone has olde scooter or motorcycle title issues. I've never tried. like the DMV? or like a title loan place like you see on TV

So I’ve been working on my girlfriend's Honda C70 Passport scooter for about 6 months now, I’ve got it running great and it is completely original (and beautiful at that) ;D Backstory- her grandfather purchased this scooter from a neighbor in Florida nearly 20 years ago, but the guy signed the title on the wrong line... then when her grandfather tried to contact the PO... he had died and his family wanted absolutely nothing to do with his affairs... Apparently the DMV said no and would not register the scooter.. I’ve put too much money and too effort in this bad boy to give up now. What should i do? i live in TN, could i file for a mechanics title? it was not running when it came into mine nor her grandfather’s possession.. Does that matter? Her 21st birthday is coming up on May 19.. i really want to have this thing street legal by then.. ;D This thing is ancient.. File for lost title maybe? any suggestions are absolutely welcome..

so i know alot of people use scooters to get around campus during college,... so im wondering: how many members are still in college? whats your major? ...and if there is a final in particular that you should be studying for but instead you are trolling the scooter forum! if you are not in college any more what are some horror storys?

look around for a little canister type apperatus, it will be attached to the frame probly up under and around the seat area, it will be about the size of those little V8 vegitable juice cans.. atleast that is where i stuck mine i think when i found a similar tube
