so i know alot of people use scooters to get around campus during college,... so im wondering: how many members are still in college? whats your major? ...and if there is a final in particular that you should be studying for but instead you are trolling the scooter forum! if you are not in college any more what are some horror storys? Used my scoot to get to class and to work. No longer in College..graduated in 2005 at the ripe old age of 42. Went back to college after a 21 year stint in the military. I was a Combat Medic type...so I pursued the Nursing degree I started while active duty. Could not finish it in the military..just a few classes at a time cause I was always getting sent somewhere. had not even read or seen a scooter forum until 2010? So I wasn't trolling or scrolling scoot forums..I was busy writing peeps Term Papers for $75.00 a pop. ;D From 2005 until 2009 I worked Cardiac Critical care and got ribbed everyday for riding my scoot to work..rain or shine and even in the winter if the roads were clear. It wasn't a gas money issue...it was a fun factor issue. So my poor Saturn sat in the driveway and only got started once a week to keep the battery up. On rare occasions like a heavy snow fall or blizzard..I drove that to work. Being a runner of 3-5 miles per day..I was hit by a car in 2009..shattering the bones in my right side.(She was texting and I was THE happiest person when they passed the 'No Texting' law) I miss running and can no longer do it... it is just a Native American thing I guess...cause my people have been running since 1492 when Columbus showed up here.. ironic but I found out....you can be fired from a Hospital of all places for missing work due to a medical condition.(couldn't walk for 13 mos.) So I opened a scooter sales..parts..service shop. Stopped selling scoots 3 years ago...too many 'low ballers' out there want to buy it at or below wholesale..for a NEW scoot. I don't know how other dealers stay in business. Now I just live off my military retirement pension..run a Scoot parts/repair shop and still write Term papers for college students. ;D So if you need a paper written in APA format..let me know.. Still ride daily...even all winter if the roads are clear...and my car still sits. But hey..ask the others here from Michigan...it is not a total loss..our winters are so cold up here that we often use the trunk of our cars as a freezer for frozen groceries.. So the car still has some value. Glenn, aka..Yayiima benatigee..

I graduated from Whittier College in '92 with a B.A. in International Studies, Europe. I did one semester at the University of Copenhagen. I got a late start because I did four years in the US Army Infantry. In the aughts, I completed half of a doctoral program with the University of Granada (Spain) that I was doing through my employer, Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. I had to abandon those studies when I resigned my post due to departmental politics.
Anyway, I was a pretty serious student, National Dean's List and all, and my biggest horror stories involved having three midterms or finals in one day. I still have bleak, recurring dreams in which I am in the present, but still unable to graduate because I forget to go to a required class for a whole semester, or put off doing a final research paper until it is too late and have to come back for yet another semester. It always seems all too real, and the depressed feeling I have upon waking - notwithstanding the sense of relief - lasts most of the day.
Any thoughts from shrink scooterists?
