Here is what I got with stator in scooter.... pick-up wire 146 ohms....cranking it getting about 2.4-2.5 vac red/black wire 0 ohms...but cranking it getting about 56 vac battery is starting to go down a bit....the 0 ohms I don't get with it producing 56vac? ? Stator and pickup are good then. By chance did you plug the green wire to green terminal on coil? If so try reversing them and see what you get... Already tried that and nothing! This is driving me crazy!

If I disconnected the green wire from cdi....that would eliminate the kill switch theory then correct?

Kill switch on the bars good? Or is the ground wire that goes to the kill switch rubbed thru or pinched in a panel and grounding? I'll double check this wee-end....gotta step back away from it a bit! I just tried that....still no spark?

Have you tried removing the ground pin from the CDI connector . . to rule out a deficiency in the switch circuits? Should engine start . . stop by disconnecting trigger/pickup coil bullet connector. I will try again this week-end....gotta get away from it a bit....LOL...this isn't going to beat me!!!!!!!!!

I turn key on and back brake light comes on. I changed stator and voltage regulator. When it was running it was not charging battery enough. I did test on wiring to and from voltage regulator and it seemed fine...anyone have any other ideas? If you say a bad ground....where and how many ground points are there to check?...I appreciate anyones help! TY!

As soon as I turn my key on back tail light comes on....almost looks like brake light is on....and will not start...possible back light is burned out on one of the filaments causing it not to start....started easily before this. TY in advance for any input.

What.... the....? Are you maybe miscommunicating or did you actually cross all those wires? ? If you did then that explains it all. The red wire connector on the regulator limits all current to about 12v. Didn't cross any wires...the black and red lead from multimeter!

I put new stator in and checked voltage at regulator ....while voltage regulator was plugged in and scooter running....black lead to green ground and red lead to yellow=10.5-11 ac volts.....to low. Black lead to green ground and red lead to white=18 ac volts...good! Black lead to green ground and red lead to red wire=12 dc volts....to low! When I unplug regulator and check voltage coming up from stator...voltages are good to yellow and white wire. I tried 2 different voltage regulators with same result.......I ordered a new regulator just to make sure the 2 I have aren't bad....anyone have any other ideas?....TY!
