I don't understand why people think running an engine wot is bad for it as long as its not over revving or getting to hot it should run all day wot look at lawn mowers they run wide open all the time so do generators. Yeah I don't understand either. I use heavier sliders because I like lower rpms and gas mileage for higher speeds. I can understand if the engine had been running lean it would put a hole in the piston from running too hot. I check my spark plug its tan its not white and its not black. , I'll take a picture to prove it! My woman thinks I'm crazy I work on my scooter for hours on my days off. She thinks its a waste of time and I accomplish NOTHING! And I know and you guys know and I'm sure will agree that the more you know about these scooters and try to keep them maintained the better the outcome. Course it threw a rod anyway. She asked me "what's so funny" one day reading this forum or the motorized bikes forum and I told her I was laughing because scooter and motorized bikes people (me being both) are so excited sometimes that they will just sit on their bike assembled in their living room and just go "Vrroooom Vrrrooom!" with throttle motions and everything. She doesn't ride so she wouldn't understand. Might as well fantasize the experience inside that rainy day or late at night.

On the navy base I work, the base security requires GOLF CARTS to have seat belts fastened! Ours goes 15mph-20mph GPS VERIFIED LOL Maybe if we had a BBK in that thing and some racing gas, that thing would FLY! I kid I kid There is a different speed regulator chip you can change out to make golf carts go faster. Well, right now my engine case has a hole with a metal bar protruding out of it, so that's preventing me from riding. Permanent stop riding? I guess if I lost a leg or an arm then I would have a harder time. Maybe if I had road rash or a scary accident I would seriously not ride for a long time. bwader, You have ware a seat belt In all 4 wheel vehiciles on All US military base's. And if I remember right max speed is 30 MPH. Not 31 & they mean it by doggie... Sorry to hear about motor malfunction. Whis you well with repair. Truly Dave Thanks for your support, On the base speed limit is 35mph and 15mph nearing the gate down to 5mph when you show your ID. On golf cart yes I got to wear a seat belt and my co-worker forgot one day and got pulled over. They were nice and just reminded him. They even have speed signs "Your Speed" its funny because one set for 25mph will blink at 26,27,28,29mph but at 30mph it will simply say "SLOW DOWN" with no numbers. DS2 is my company I work for, Defense Support Services. I'm one of 3 wastewater trainees and 7 wastewater operators in DS2. DS2 has grounds people who cut grass and various jobs like aviation mechanics and support people throughout the U.S. I'm looking at different 150cc engine kits. I emailed tech support at scrappydogscooters their "200" engine kit with oil cooler is a real 170cc. The stroke is a standard 58mm, the bore is 61mm Best price I found with shipping was with partsforscooters at $385 I'm steering away from ebay which only would be slightly cheaper. That 170cc scrappydog kit is $540 with shipping so that looks like my best bet and bang for my buck. With an oil cooler too. So I got to save for a while until I can get that kit, hopefully it won't be sold out then.

I remember a guy on here with this handle on the old forum, he gave a lot of good advise.
I remember his profile said he was 66 or older.
And of course he had Wile E Coyote as a picture and always had a quote at the bottom.
From the Book of Knowledge: .................
Like the old sayin' An Ounce of prevention is worth a Pound of cure.

Rpms are 6,900-7,100 FOT going 50-56. I had 7,800 rpms with 10 gram sliders for 50 miles then I changed back to 15's.
Rollers from 9's, 10's, 12's, 13's, 15's, 16's all max rpms was about 7,000 rpms MAX on my scooter.
It took sliders to get rpms above 7,000 on mine. Of course I'm 245LBS.
Or I guess you mean we all can't ride FOT or the engine's going to blow up like mine.
I doubt that, this was bad luck. It was 5,900 rpms when it seized. I know its to give me a hard time.

Lucky for me I have a recycling plant a few miles down the road from where I live. Its just a pain to get to due to you have to go over a bridge with 2 lanes that used to be 4 lanes, so its a bottle neck of traffic to get there.

Did the "200cc" kit come with a 11 pole stator or did you upgrade to it?
I just wonder if getting the kit would require getting the 11 pole stator fixed like you have been going through.
My engine got impaled from inside destroying the middle of the cases with a hole in it. So I'm looking at new engine kits and I think my best bang for my buck will be with the "200cc" kit.
Also what is the real CC"s of that kit?

3,300 miles I got it at 1 mile off mxmotorsports.com its a little over a year old, literally.
The bolt that starts at the flywheel then inwards was impaled out through the hole too.

I took apart the engine shroud and there I saw it was impale from inside the case just below the cylinder, right in the middle of the engine CASE.
Its something off of the crankshaft, maybe even the piston rod split or something. I took out the head down to the cylinder with piston inside. I couldn't get the piston to pull out or tap in lightly.
The piece of metal looks like its coming from the CRANKSHAFT. I just have my camera on my phone which is not the best.
I would have to Split the CASE and replace the two halves of the case and anything else inside messed up.
I took the whole engine off and is separate from the frame on a wood block to support the top end and bricks to keep the wheel upright.
