I'm trying to get up with a guy who had the handle semperfi on the old site. Some years ago he had posted a document I'd like to have but the link is no longer valid. I'd like to ask him if he still has a copy. The document I'm looking for is a Parts Manual for a Xingyue XY150T-7 Supercharge. It's a pretty cool scoot that is a bit of an oddball and I've just come into one. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Bob in Homestead, FL Bump for weekend readers

take pictures with your cell phone i just pour 10 40 oil over the piston and coat the jug with it too i splash alot on each My cellphone, uhh... Kinda can't take pictures But I have a digital camera that can; maybe I'll just do pictures. That'll make things easier to share on the forum anyway. Thanks, Millsc! I'll be sure to use some 10w40 to lube up my stuffs. The last one I did I realized the little baggie the Piston comes wrapped in was really handy. Poured a little 10-40 in there with the ringed-up Piston to soak while I got other stuff ready. When I was ready, so was it. bb

Guys wait. You are ALL riding on low profile tires. Of course it's going to be harsh. Next time you swap, check your clearances and try something in a taller profile!
Yes, this will somewhat affect the chinometer. Yes, this will give you somewhat higher effective gearing. Somewhat is relative to how much the overall Diameter increases with the swap.
Quick and dirty Tire Primer for those not familiar:
The typical format for tire sizes on bikes, cars, etc is:
AAA/BB-CC
Where: AAA is the Width in Millimeters BB is the Aspect Ratio or percentage the Height is of the Width CC is the RIM Diameter in Inches
Example:
A tire of size 120/60-13 120mm Wide 72mm Tall (120 * 0.60 = 72) fits on 13" Diameter Rim
A tire of size 120/80-13 120mm Wide 96mm Tall (120 * 0.80 = 96) fits on 13" Diameter Rim
Quick Application:
96mm - 72mm = 24mm 13 / 2 = 6.5 6.5 * 25.4 = 165 (rounded) 165 + 72 = 237 165 + 96 = 261 2 * Pi * Radius = Diameter 2 * Pi * 237 = 1489 2 * Pi * 261 = 1640 1489 / 1640 = .91 (rounded)
If someone made this swap, he'd need 24mm of extra clearance. and he would expect his chinometer to indicate approximately 9% percent slower for the same actual speed.

...or inadequate ground.
Steve, note he said 'brush against ground' not "ground it" That black wire adjusts the output of the Reg/Reg. Grounding maxes it out. It can't stay grounded. John explained this to me a couple weeks ago. I'm just helping clarify!

Sat on one last week at Riva Motorsports near Homestead, FL. I really liked it. It has that late 70s Suzuki GS look to it. Like the rest of the men in my family, I have short legs. This bike is one of a select few that lets me get both feet comfortably on the ground. I'd love to own a dual-sport but that's never going to work for me. Thought the price around $4000 seemed relatively fair. Agreed the Silver is complimentary to the styling and makes for sharp bike.

They are my local parts place. I'm there a couple times a month. They are legit. They're not very technical (it's not a repair shop) so you need to know what you want. They generally keep pretty good stock. If you call they will go get the part and describe it. I've even gotten them to exchange photo texts. They're really nice but they only have so much info to offer.
peace

Hi guys, I need an Inner Rear Fender for a single shock scooter. The type I need is the one that attaches to a little bracket on the starter bolt on the left side. On the right it attaches to exhaust mounting bracket. Every time it rains I get dirty water slinging up and saturating my Uni-filter. Can anyone help me out with a source? I'd even consider a used one. TIA
