The only time I ever had a belt break on me was because of a clutch problem. With the clutch still on the scooter I tried to squeeze it open and it was very difficult to do that was my first clue that i had a clutch problem besides the belt breaking. if it is a clutch gone bad and you put a new belt on there it wont last long. also what kind of belt are you using and what is with the discoloration on the broken belt it looks black/white

Is the object of the thread to prove that you just took the picture, or that you had taken a ride and got the picture. Here are the rules that were posted in the original thread; " The Rules:

Well the problem started happening again so the only thing left I think could be bad is the wiring. I think the main power wire where it connects to the battery was slightly corroded not allowing enough power flow so I cut a bit off the end of the wire and then reattached it and once again it seems to be starting normally now

I checked the valve gaps and they were open much further than they shouldve been

Im not so sure the petcock was my problem im thinking i might need a valve adjustment. what does the vacuum line from the intake manifold to the carb do though? is it really needed or could i just plug it?

I replaced the starter and was still having the same problem then i replaced the solenoid and it seem to start fine now so i guess it was the solenoid

if it overcomes the float bowl where does it go/leak out from? And what do i do with the vacuum lines get rid of the T part and just run a hose between the intake manifold and carb? and does anybody know where i can get a manual petcock from?

No its not a loud buzzing noise it definitely sounds like metal grinding sometimes and yeah I just got a new battery fully charged hardly ever even really used it much yet and yeah its the 150cc scoot in my signature. And how easy are they to swap I thought I remembered something about it was difficult to replace a starter.

A lot of times when I go to start my scooter it wont start right away and I think my starter is going bad. Sometimes it gives symptoms of a weak or dead battery but I know the battery is good. It also makes some weird noises possibly grinding which I think might be worn gears. I have a spare starter on another engine I could swap if its not too difficult but Ive never done it before so could anybody tell me how hard it would be to do a starter swap.

Ive been having fuel starvation problems The reason I know is because I checked the fuel filter and it was empty Im thinking it might be a problem with the petcock. Do I really need to use it or could I eliminate it and just use gravity since the gas tank is above the carb? also what would I do with the vacuum lines?

Has anybody else had trouble with any aftermarket horns? I upgraded to the Fiamm freeway blaster a long time ago but it doesnt always work for me its like it has to be positioned perfectly or something. The way it works for me is that I cant really crank the mounting bracket down real tight or let the horn touch anything like the frame or whatever and even then it doesnt work all the time but while im testing it I could usually get it in to a position where it will work if i give it a light tap with a screwdriver or wrench or something. Then it will work most of the time while im riding. I thought it was a fluke maybe a defective horn or something until I had to replace a car horn so I got a Blazer highway blaster basically the same design and tried that on the scooter and had the same problem. not sure what the deal is with them maybe somebody else knows Im stumped. shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/fiamm-freeway-blaster-high-note-horn-7210223/6200014-P
