oh sorry, I totally forgot.. It is a 50cc 2008 model chinese scoot, not sure of the name all it says is Magnum 50l on the side.. but it looks just like most of the VIP future champions with the 2 round headlights in the front fairing. I read somewhere on here where someone put a 24mm carb. on their 50 and it ran good.. so I dont know if it would be worth a shot or not.. im willing to try it, but its your carb. and im broke, so its up to you sir. But I wont hold it against you if you dont want to give up the carb on a maybe..

No, I cant get the top off, somebody stripped the two screws out so bad, that It cant be taken apart. Is that where the Diaphragm is located?

I close off all the air holes, It will take off... start picking up speed. I have to let off the holes and it will run wide open.. Think people think... would cause this?!

so.. if there are any kind folks who want to help a stranger in need, message me and send me a carb. ...

yep.. checked all that.. no holes or cracks in anything whatsoever... and I tested the Petcock, it is working perfectly... I really am at a loss here..

Well I bought a used scoot off craigslist...(again). It ran fine when i test drove it, It also ran fine on the damn near 40 mile trip home. I gave the dude 420 bucks for it. Well the next day I drove it somewhere.. it ran fine, then on the way back home I stopped at a red light and when I hit the throttle it bogged down and wouldnt pick up speed at all whatsoever. It would start and idle perfectly like it was brand new. well the least few days I have been fiddling with it. I took most of the carb apart and tried to clean it.. ( I couldn't get the top part off that is kinda round and black, because some idiot stripped the two screws out). To make a long story short. alot of stuff has been replaced and I adjusted the valves, even though they really were ok to start with. Here's the weird part.... When I take off, if I cover the inlet holes on the airbox with my hand it will start to pick up speed, until I get to about 5 thousand RPM and then it will lose power until I take my hand off and then it will take off like a bat out of . ?! I have tried every setting you can possibly do with the a/f mixture screw. im almost certain that I need to replace this carb. is that everyon else's thoughts aswell???

I used to have a JMStar 150, I used to average 300 miles a week on that thing EVERY week for over year.. I drove it over 300 miles in one day on it.. that week I did about 500 miles lol... right now I am driving a 50cc and I put anywhere from 50 to 60 miles on it every single day, except on sunday. the most I ever did on a 50 was about 200 miles running all over and back all day long... that was on my last 50.. The one im on now, im not sure, but I know I have put atleast 100 miles on it in a single day for sure. And youre on a 250, you should be able to put 1000 miles on it in a day if you truly wanted to lol...
