I had the same problem with a different online vender two years ago. After a Visa chargeback and letters from my attorney it got sorted out, but it took 4 months. i don't think my bank is going to help me. i didn't use a credit card so i guess a chargeback isn't possible. they sent me a message saying they were done with the investigation and mailing me the information. i'm considering hiring an attorney. you said the whole process took 4 months, how long did you wait to hire an attorney? i'd hire an attorney tomorrow if the price was right and i was guaranteed to have the correct MCO and BILL OF SALE within 2 weeks. i know no one can guarantee that but i am curious how long it took after your attorney got involved.

Your recourses if they fail to respond. You can contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles for information and assistance. You can contact the Department of Motor Vehicles in their State and file a complaint, this usually works the best because their dealer's license could be affected and/or a fine. thank you, i found the form i need to fill out to file a formal complaint in CA.

Calm down it will get squared away . John www.yelp.com/biz/superior-powersports-industryi'm gonna have to pay for a storage unit to store this thing if it doesn't get sorted soon. i'd rather give that money to someone here that knows how to speed this process up.

i vaguely remembered playing pai gow in a casino years ago with the seats numbered 1, 2, 3, 5, 6... that is where i first heard the chinese think number 4 is unlucky. fact that my MCO is missing the number 4 can't be a coincidence, can it?
friggin silly superstition is costing me time, sanity and money.

from wikipedia: it is all starting to make sense now. the number 4 was left off of my MCO and replaced with the number 5 in one spot and left blank in the other. either the number 4 was not on their keyboard or the typist was too frightened to use the number 4 and simply substituted or deleted the number. itistheride.boards.net/thread/5402/adviceomfg i will never buy chinese again, lol.

Good luck with that. BTW, could a neighbor put the scoot in their garage for the time being? i've never talked to any of my neighbors so that would be an awkward first conversation, lol.

maybe time moves slower in california. said 20 minutes and it's been an hour. really wish i never made this purchase now.
edit: talked to another operator, took down the vin number and promised to take care of it. asked him if they could email or contact me to let me know the status on my new MCO just so i'm not left in the dark. said sure we can do that for you... so we shall see.

Well this is enough to drive a person nuts. I never had this problem with Superior, and I not only got the MCO but the tags and registration through them as well. (I course being only about fifty miles away they must have known if things went south I could VISIT them!) ...... worst part is i live in a gated community and can't park a vehicle without plates in the driveway. the garage is already over stuffed with the homeowners personal belongings. i had to get his permission to use the garage and move many of his things to get it in there. told him last week i would have it out of there yesterday when i got paid. now it seems this could go on for weeks and possibly months.

I got burned once and that was enough to send me to a local shop for the china scoot I could have bought online. I paid a couple of hundred more but I picked it up ready to roll and had people to complain to , face to face, if things went sour. i just read a thread on another forum where a guy bought a scoot from a local dealer and after he gave them his money he finds out the dealer MCO isn't accurate. said he would have saved himself a lot of trouble if he would have verified the vin before but who thinks to do that at a dealership? they wouldn't give him his money back and he had to wait over 2 weeks for them to correct the problem.

omg someone answered the phone... will edit with details when i hang up. on hold now but talked to a real live person a minute ago. edit: ugh! told me to call back in 45 minutes. they just opened 15 minutes ago and the department that handles my problem isn't there yet. my bank gave me this number. i didn't have this information and it is the only method that has got through. optimistic at the moment.

After a Visa chargeback and letters from my attorney it got sorted out, but it took 4 months. omg i hope it doesn't take that long... think i'll give up within a week or two and part it out. hopefully recover all of most of my money and get something else.

I doubt Superior has deliberately mess you up, hopefully theywill fix it for you. i don't know, i would hope not. if they would have took the time to respond so i knew they were correcting the problem then i would have waited longer. i'm not a patient person, 4 days of being left in the dark was all i could handle. i still don't know anything new today.

i knew going in that it would be a little more difficult buying online than locally but i had no idea i would have improper document problems. doing a little reading on another forum i found many that couldn't register their scooter because of false documents. a little communication would be nice but i guess that is asking for too much with superiorpowersports.com. i don't see how my bank could side with them unless they can produce the required documents to register. i don't even know if they are capable of producing a legitimate document at this point.
