I have tested many options and bbks for the 50cc scoots and have found that the best option is to run a stock combustion chamber big valve ported head you can't buy this anywhere on the net only ones with the combustion chamber cut to 50mm but I have a connection to have these made pm me if you have an airsal and want a stock chambered big valve ported head

You can buy 30mm pumper carbs for 150s that have accelerator pumps its gonna be the next thing I buy and probably the last. He has a 50cc and a smaller pilot jet probably would fix the issue

I've never tried the 24mm carb on a 80cc 47mm kit it may work since you have the big valve head if it's ported and not a ebay special I say keep the carb get a uni and a pipe and rejet to 35 pilot 102 main

I ran a 35 pilot and a 107 main it won't work without the big valve head uni and exhaust no need for the bigger carb with out a ported big valve head and 50mm and above kit

I ran a 24mm carb on all my 50s but you need to have at least a 50mm big bore kit open air filter exhaust and a big valve head it works and works well but not without these mods get a 18 to 20mm carb

I take mine to an actual machine shop the same guy does all my gears take them in he knows what to do I'm in and out in a few minutes he did my 150 gears last week

I let the pros press mine the guy puts them in a huge press takes him a few minutes charges 15 bucks

I ran the hoca set with an airsal and a custom made 39mm combustion chamber big valve head made by Buford and a 24mm carb I suggest getting a hold of Buford send him your stock head have him port it and put in big valves makes a big difference in power

The 18/46 gears ride different takes a bit to get used to they have a slight wind up on take off so don't be alarmed

Get a taller set like 16 37 or 16 36 will for sure lower rpm and give you a top end boost

My advice is to keep the Dr pulley you spent too much on it to take a loss I'd get a set of gears to take advantage of the rpm you'd gain speed and lower rpms at the same time

I've never tried Dr pulley variators cost too high when I could get kosos for under 25 bucks and they perform way better than stock so I always buy koso couldn't imagine any other brand being much better or if at all at least for the price difference

I only buy my variators from China I got most everything else from scooterelements I figure it would hard to break or get a broken variator I try to avoid ebay if possible. Best to buy from John or Walt
