Was very easy to remove, the bolts weren't as tight as I thought they should of been and the gaskets broke but I have new ones, so far its been a simple process.

All the parts ordered scooterelements cut me a deal so 3mm crankshaft it will be, should have the parts next week

My guess would be not piston to head clearance and it slammed into the head bet it quit with a big bang.

How fast will it go after mods? are you going to hop it up even more in the future? is this my best bud? If so we work together on most all projects he's part of c&b scooter repair. Good addition to the forum all will see him in the mod, talented mechanic and welder.

I could actually run mine all year around at the winter setting just would be slightly rich in the summer. After its tuned in correctly not much adjustment if any is needed. This year I changed the idle jet for easier starts since its a colder than normal winter. But if you jet the carb right you can run all year no issue. If you decide to keep a regular carb I'll tune it free to prove my point lol. If your scoot runs that much different from season to season it was jetted wrong from the start.

You don't have to continually adjust it just from winter to summer just once, 15 minute job.

Where you at in Kansas if you need repair or upgrades bring it to me I'll put but a big bore kit on it includes carb rejetted tuned for 80 bucks labor.

You just have to adjust the carb change jets adjust the a/f screw for weather change only takes a few minutes. I'm in Missouri same weather had to up my idle jet its been a cold winter. I can't see paying all that money for a efi on a china bike if it doesn't come on it I'll do it manually and tune it myself. Not hard to tune or work on these scoots just get in there and do it, we all start not knowing and after you keep trying and fail or succeed we gain knowledge. I thought the choke on the carb was where the spark went when I got my first scoot a few years back now I repair these these things on the side and could build one from the ground up

You have something draining the battery or a bad stator, regulator or battery as alley says. Find the issue and replace the bad part or parts using a stronger replacement battery isn't the answer. Its like fixing stuff with tape or glue instead of getting a replacement part.

Scooter elements may cut me deal on the 3mm crankshaft so I may do it, the horror stories I read seem to be from installation errors. I may do the 3mm now I won't even attempt to start my scoot until I know its perfect. I will do the 3mm if he cuts the deal if not I'll go with a 2.2 or 2.5 or go all out and do a 6mm with a 92 link chain. I have the skill and confidence to go big would just have to grind some off the bottom of the piston so it won't suck into the counter weights at bdc and the 6mm with correct spacer would be a power house. We shall see how it goes should know by tomorrow night, id rather run a bigger crank with a longer chain than a smaller crank with a overly tight chain. It seems with the strokers you go small or go big and the middle may cause issues either way I'll make it work and work well. Not sure why the spacers you can buy are 1.57,1.65,2.3 and 6mm since you have to add a gasket on each side of the spacer. The cranks need to shimmed half the mm like a 3mm needs 1.5mm clearance plus a few extra for heat expansion so the 1.65 spacer would seem correct but after you add gaskets its too much. Someone needs to make spacers that actually work for the strokers that are being sold and maybe more would go this route. I'll make the correct clearance up with gaskets but no one puts the thickness of the gaskets either and they are all different. Maybe when its all said and done I'll create shims that actually are correct. To all that feel their scooter is done after the crank fails, these small motors are fairly simple, small parts and bolts like a toy, parts are cheap and easy to replace china scoots can live forever with replacements along the way.
