Several more upgraded parts to come they are listed in my signature as proposed plans which will happen. Shipping my head off to Buford so he can work his magic on it pics to follow. you didn't order the head direct from scrappy? what head did you go with? if nothing else i definitely want one of buford's ported heads on my new ride. more pics plz and thank you. yes that is the kit, but I got the non forged piston figured the forged dome would create compression and clearance issues with the stroker since its domed, but would of went with forged piston without the stroker or if I planned to shave off the dome to make the correct deck height after the stroker

Gonna order a crankshaft Thursday trying to decide which to get 2.2, 2.5, 3, 4 or 6mm. Trying to avoid the chain don't fit issue if I have to modify the cam chain tensioner and use a longer chain id rather go all out and do a 6mm and shave the bottom of the piston. Got two days to decide want to do a 3mm with stock chain but I've read many stories about the chain is to short after the spacer and gaskets. Like I said if I got to get a longer chain id make my work worthwhile and go big. how much more power do you expect with the 3mm? maybe 5%? and 10% with the 6mm? i have little idea but i am assuming you would get double the power gain over the 3mm so might as well if you don't mind the added cost for the 6mm. regardless i hope you get some pics or better yet a video of this difficult upgrade. your scoot is gonna be bad-xxx! I will gain more torque from the stroker and more power from my head I'm having Buford fix up, I have done extensive research and this build should go without many hitches. The size of the stroker from what I have read isn't going to be that crucial say from 2.2 to 3 is only around 1.5cc or even 2.2 to 6mm is around 9cc. But if I do the 6mm it will be alot more involved to gain that 9cc of power, its doable but probably not worthwhile.

I don't mind if I have to change the chain, my concern is if the stock chain is too short I have to put my project on hold and order a chain and wait for it to come in. Don't want to spend the extra on a 92 link chain if I don't need it some cranks I see come with spacer, chain and woodruff keys which would eliminate my concern.

My scooter i ride to work everyday has a 3mm stroke crankshaft in it and all i did was install a spacer and that was it. Have had it now for about 3 years in my scooter with no issues at all. I read somewhere you shaved your piston?

This thread was from 50cc upgrades, this go around I'm doing the 150cc upgrade stroker crank project. Will have new pics of the big valve head posted on that thread after the head is finished.

As far as I know he's the only one making them at scrappys id still tell them to make certain, he makes awesome heads I'll put up pics as soon as we get mine all done. Scrappy sells the hoca big valve head too, I went from a hoca to a Buford big valve head no comparison hand ported by a professional will always beat out a machine.

Me and Buford are friends he makes my heads for my race projects i send him all the pieces, you will have to go through scrappys just make sure you tell them that you want bob in pa to make yours. I'll post many pics and maybe a vid once all the parts are in it will be a bit before I get all the parts.

For those with airsal kits a stock chambered big valve head is the way to go, only one way to get one, send Buford a message.

Its 62.7mm the ncy 61mm is 62.5 they both fit easily, the kits both look pretty much the same except the ncy has a shorter piston.
