Yes! I saw this on TV too... Lots of places where this could be handy!
The feature showed the food being delivered by scooters and motorcycles. I can see this also generating a lot of profitable traffic citations served on the delivery riders.... Of course, the police would have to be on scooters, cycles or bicycles THEMSELVES to get to the "offenders"... LOL!

Great post... Have a bone on the Old Chopper Guy!
Doris Day was a true icon of the BEST period of our country... You know, the time when you could go on vacation and not even lock your front door... (Heck, my personal chopper, "Old Blue" which I had invested over $20K in and THAT is $200K in today's sorry bucks) didn't even have an ignition key-lock... It retained the original 1957 Harley Davidson keyless "on-off" ignition switch.
A time when there were only TWO sexes, and most folks knew WHICH one they were... Yeah, I know Rock Hudson was gay, but he was still a MAN and movie fans loved him (and Doris) together...
With Doris' passing, we have lost one more precious contact with things which made America great for nearly two centuries... The last 50 years have not been great, but it's getting better.
Yes, rest in peace Doris, you made millions of fans worldwide smile!
Ride safe, the clock is ticking for all of us.

"Don't think I've ever heard of Randolph Scott." I don't think I would have known of him if the Statler Brothers hadn't recorded a tune about him. Ted Turner's Superstation played a lot of vintage movies when I was coming up, but not many westerns from Randolf Scott's day. Now that I live in Texas, there are plenty of local UHF channels playing old westerns all day, every day. Yup! Texas UHF has good old Randolph Scott flix on quite regularly. He was DIFFERENT, very "deep" in most of his characters (sorta like Glen Ford in some ways). He always was the poster-boy for the good-guy role-model... A little like John Wayne, but milder-tempered... ?

Definitely my kinda ride, Kat! Back in the day, one of my best pals (who didn't ride a bike!) was a fanatic on old Caddy hearses. He always had one for a delivery vehicle and one fixed up as a daily driver. Yeah, the light-up goose would go great on that bus! Weather's getting better and I need to try getting the old mouse running again! Ride safe! Leo

I'm old enough to have enjoyed BOTH actors in theaters!
That said, they both were mighty macho in their time. Like Kat said, maybe not as macho as Chuck Connors, but he was from a different generation... Even TV got a lot rougher since Cooper and Scott's days. They were both pretty tough characters, but "under the surface"... Newer action actors like Connors, and ESPECIALLY Clint Eastwood were all-business, in yo' face "You wanna piece of me sucker?" in persona...
Thinking back though, I'd give Gary Cooper a slight edge over Randolf Scott in the Stone-Age Silver Screen era...
Go ahead, Gary, MAKE MY DAY... Even if that day was around 1948... LOL!

They are thinking that the new balance system will be used to build larger thumpers, like 700 or 800cc. That sounds good to me! I do live the stump-pulling torque of thumpers. One of my favorite features of the old Hogs was their V-Twin motors fired almost like a single... Just a few degrees apart on the two jugs. They'd fire (boom, boom… coast a rev and boom, boom again). That is what created the unique, erratic loping idle sound AND the monster torque. Of course, they also shook like a single... LOL! Didn't earn the nickname "Milwaukee Shakers" by accident!

Very interesting!
I've always liked big-displacement thumpers. This idea (already proven by Ducati) appears to be a good advancement. Wonder what (if) kind of bike it might show up in?

Aw, what an adorable pic. Sure wish things could've worked out during my brief layover in Dallas to meet you both. You give your Sweet Betty a big hug and kiss from me, UncaLeo! >'Kat Will do! I wish we could have me too! So many health problems with us both... With God's help, we still have some good times left. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to ride 2-wheels though. When I get the scoot running, I'll find out... Ride safe! Leo
