You could put a nut on the other side of the bracket of the eye bolt if you want. Alleyoop that i will do (another trip to home depot)

They should have nuts on both sides of the eye bolt bracket, to make adjusting easier. Did you get it adjusted? Roy There are only nuts on ONE side of the eye bolt I thought there should be one on each side to ensure it dont slip. But NNNOOOOO!!! I'll finish up after church tomoro gonna be a nice day to work in the geeeradge

Alleyoop Thanx But where the were u this afternoon when i was cussing and steaming (and screaming) ?? wait...2 bolts on each bracket, plus the 4 adjusters? I only loosened/saw 1 17mm bolt per bracket Better put my glasses on then OK, everyone laugh at me now Oh well, I'll finger it out tomoro OK the first time is always the most confusing I'll get it for next time tanks youse guys D UPDATE Just relooked at my pics I didnt loosen the eyebolt bolt I loosened the nut, but not the bolt Man i'm getting old thats why i now pay people to fix my cars It's easier to write a check

You have to loosen all four 17mm bolts. The two on the bottom hold the eye bolts and are is a slot. To loosen the chain back the nuts out. You will have to push the axle tube forward, the use of a pry bar will help. Or try to rock the trike back wile holding the rear brake. Roy PUSH THE AXLE TUBE FORWARD WITH A PRY BAR That's what I was looking for Now it makes sense I had the theory, but not the practical I had the 4 17mm loosened I saw the 14mm were slotted Just didn't know how to move the axle Was assuming tightening the 14mm nuts would pull it in....NOT!!! thanks Roy D

I don't/haven't. But I have read many threads here about the alignment and other issues. Try to use the search feature or Google it. Plenty of people talking about RT issues

The physical differences are obvious. The thrill of the ride between a scoot and a bike can only be explained by riding both

Some of what you say is not true: The Suzuki S40 : 1 piston 650cc Kawasaki Eliminator: 125cc 1 piston Suzuki TU250x: 1 cylinder 250cc Scooter: Suzuki Burgman 650: 2 cylinder, 650cc Honda Silverwing: 600cc (580cc) twin cylinder I'm sure there are plenty of other examples that won't fit in the category.. Motorcycle: = gas tank and engine in between the legs. Scooter: = flat floorboard, most part of the motor = under seat (most of the time). I think ridecheap was looking more for a reason to ride a scoot vs a bike. A comparison of the two with pro scoot and con bike. Ya can't make that comparison without having owned/ridden both for a substancial time

Oil - schmoil A lot of my old cruizer biker buddies swear by the stuff. It got rid of the lifter ticking in some bikes Let's try to not over anal-ize the subject
Try it. If it works for you, great.
I've used Amsoil, honda gn4, mobile 1 truck turbo diesel, ( on my Honda shadow sabre and my Goldwing) and the bikes run as good as new, doesn't burn any oil, or leak any either.

True, but, there is nothing like a cross country ride on a cruizer/tourer. Just curious if u ever had/rode major distances on a cruizer? No I have not yet Dave. I have rode a Kawasaki ninja long distance 1,000 miles and it sucks in crotch rocket angle. I totally agree. That's the wrong bike to ride for more than 100 miles But, riding a larger bike, down the open hiway/back roads, is uncomparabke to riding a scoot around town Apples to oranges The cost, mpg, yes, scooter is cheaper But riding a Goldwing around the Grand Canyon, or up hiway 1 to san francisco or thru Navaho territory, or the Blue ridge parkway, or Sturgis, or the Rockies, or the Ozarks. Done em all. Never coulda done em on a scoot
