They have a watt usage label on many of them that shows in the pictures. At 12 volts that means 6.7 to 7 amps.

After you get a key blank you still need to have it cut. Save some time and go to a locksmith first. He probably has the blanks.

What JerryScript said, plus I started using scooters because arthritis made mounting a motorcycle and shifting gears painful. I found I loved scooters and am happily making interstate trips on my TMAX.
If you never go places where the speed limit is over 40 MPH or so the 150 is the way to go as long as there not a lot of hills to climb, especially if you are a large heavy person. This leaves you with a power reserve to climb hills without losing a lot of speed. If you are considering rides that take you 15-30 miles to the next town at 55 to 60 MPH you are going to be a rolling roadblock, especially going up hills. A 250cc scooter is a better choice for that kind of riding. It will even do Interstates for short distances if you are brave and the traffic isn't heavy.

Call a locksmith or take the scooter ignition switch to a locksmith.

If you have fried multiple CDIs you need to start looking outside the CDI for your problem. I suggest you start with checking the voltage regulator. By the way, is you battery life short as well?

I think you have jumped the shark with the flames on the exhaust.

You won't lose very much storage going the kamm back route. The pointed half of a cone only has 1/8 of the volume of the full cone.

Looking to strip my scooter down to bare bones. take all the lights and what not off. any advice before i start would be greatly appreciated. This is probably too late, but, if you want the battery charging and ignition to work properly you will have to do something about the excess power the alternator will produce without the load of the lights on it. The voltage regulator will have to ground out all the extra power, and that way leads to blown voltage regulators and a myriad of electrical problems.

An awesome scooter. I really like the reflective black tape Idea, I'll have to find some for my scooter. The salamander as a source of heat for bending the plastic form is one of those hilarious seeming ideas that worked great. It sounds like something I would do. Would you consider a kamm back design for the next one? www.google.com/search?q=kamm+back

Dude he posted that in September, though I am no climatologist I am pretty sure it was valid in most of the country at the time of the posting. Ok now then I will find a ball field My apologies. I don't know why or how, but I read the date as December. Sorry.

Why has this thread died? It can't be that hard to find a fountain... Scarce around here, but I know some people live in or around a city that has at least one fountain... Dear lucky south-west US denizen, There are weather conditions you apparently have never experienced happening over a very large part of the country. It has high winds, snow, ice, freezing temperatures, salt and sand on the roads, rain, no sun for days or even weeks at a time. Any combination of any or all of these conditions can happen within a 24 hour period. It is called winter. Most of the scooters are not used much if at all during this four to six month period, and we are just about smack dab in the middle of winter.
