Looking to strip my scooter down to bare bones. take all the lights and what not off. any advice before i start would be greatly appreciated.

if you do that it will not be street legal in most states check with the local dmv before you do

Many directions you can go with a naked scooter. A supermoto scoot would be cool.

If ya dint care if its street legal you can do wonders just hide all the wires under the seat. thats what I did.if ya have to wire anything up like lights later keep most of the wire harness.

This is probably too late, but, if you want the battery charging and ignition to work properly you will have to do something about the excess power the alternator will produce without the load of the lights on it. The voltage regulator will have to ground out all the extra power, and that way leads to blown voltage regulators and a myriad of electrical problems.
