I once had my tube burn through, too. Not only was the tube toast but it had burned the wires running to the battery. I had trouble finding an adequate replacement for the tube and had to replace both wires to the battery.
My scoot's pair system is a bit different from most but is mostly the same; I have a much smaller canister. Recently, I decided to remove it and blocked off the port on the head with an NCY block off plate. As far as I can tell there are no other emissions equipment on mine (EGR, etc.) Also, the authorities where I live are fairly lax about scooter emissions requirements.
So far I have not noticed any problems with the canister and complimentary hardware removed, this about 250 miles after making the change.
Good Luck.

Thanks for the quick response. The rain eased up so I'm back on it.

I was just about to open up all the panels and start my hunt. After several really hot days it just started to rain. Gotta love Colorado.
My GY6 150 starts and runs fine, but it won't shut off. Kill switch doesn't turn it off, nor the key, nor disconnecting the battery. I have to disconnect at the plug/coil. I know it might just be a short on the wiring but has anyone else encountered this and know what the likely suspect area is?
Thanks in advance.

Not to nit pick but if you look closely the price in the picture. Just under $11 with postage. "get what you pay for?"

Sorry for the delay...
The supplier told me they wanted to hear back from the manufacturer about what they should do. He wrote that they did not have another on hand or they would have sent me a replacement after checking to make sure the magnet fit properly.

I just received my Prima Magnetic Oil Drain Kit. The magnet is supposed to just slide into place in the plug's recess, right? It seems the magnet is just slightly larger than the diameter of the plug. What gives?

Hello everybody.
I have joined up after finding so many posts from the old board while searching for low priced items.
I've been riding a Chinese 150cc for about 4 years now and am part of the HDS (High Desert Scooterist group) in Western Colorado. My ride is my avatar, natch.
See you on the road.
