Yes, all scooter parts online stores, do not give one a delivery date. So sometimes one has to wait. So I ordered a clutch, belt and variator from Scrappy Dog - came in within 3 days. I ordered a tire off Amazon that took a week. I think I have even ordered thru online stores that don't give a delivery date. So I wait.. All you can do..

Hi, Charles, I live in Belle MO. Ridden to Quincy IL, Marshall MO, Rolla MO, Columbia MO, Jefferson City MO, all on scooter. It is a Roketa Bali 250 so can ride long distances. Rode back and forth from Holt Summit MO to Marshall MO a 225 mile trip. Quincy from Holt Summit alone was a 130 mile trip one way. Been all over Missouri... Know some of you too.

I have the cn250. in Bali 250.. To me, that sounds like a valve adjustment way off.

Well, that was it.. The bell on the clutch was barely toughing the crankcase, spinning and making a squeak. I placed a small bolt in first and than the metal Dow in( gave the width of 2 mm more to Dow). Gave enough clearance to make crankcase sit freely on it without touching the bell. No more squeak. Rode it 65 MPH to test it.

I think I found the source of the problem. The clutch is still rubbing the crankcase. This causes the squeaking at high speeds - 45 to 70 MPH. At slower speeds, it is not obvious. The metal dows that I bought, were from a auto parts store, but they must still be to short. Evidently the dows are shorter than Roketa's and short I will add spacers to it, so it is long enough to maintain clearance of the crankcase. Thank You

It does squeak when it idles or when reving up engine. It does not begin to make a squeaking noise until about 45 MPH.. Could be a wheel bearing I suppose. Been a while since adding grease to axles and bearing. At least 3 years. Being that I just changed the variator, clutch and belt some 200 miles ago, I would think those are the likely answer. Belt sits in clutch about 1/3 inch lower than it used too. Clutch I could not make as tight as before - the nut has about one turn more to be in exact same tightness as original. Nut was tightened with impact wrench as tight as would go. Variator also was tightened with impact wrench. The speed of scooter is able to move at highway speeds. Sounds normal at low speeds and the faster it goes, the more I notice the squeak. I did find out why my other clutch was making a noise. From taking the cvt crankcase off, I lost the dows and so the crankcase was rubbing the clutch. So when changed, kept all parts.

Also if you get into an accident, your insurer might not cover the accident.

I always heard, that is a bad idea, to switch tires. Front for rear. In fact, my tires have a specific size so one can't enter change them. The back is a 120/ 10 and the front is a 110/ 12. When I buy the tires, they say front tire only or rear tire only. The grooves in the tires, make them act differently if put on the wrong tire. May cause a accident. So I would not change the tire, from what the manufacturer suggests.

Ya, I thought about placing white walls on my Bali 250, but could only find a front tire. So I stuck with my black tires which were a lot cheaper anyhow.

Right after fixing it back up, rode from central Missouri to Quincy, IL.. On 70 MPH highways. It was approx 125 miles. No trouble keeping up with my wife's Honda Rebel.

The scooter had been blow over in a wind storm. Live in Missouri. But anyhow, it done $550 in damage. Tore off both mirrors, broke windshield, reflect was brake, front shield and dash, the ignition key was bent and big plastic piece was twisted. The insurance company gave me $350 and I ordered most parts that were broken, some like mirrors were not origanal and I ordered led lights from additional turn signal lights. Here is what it looks like today.
