Unless your scooter has high compression there is no benefit to using higher octane. In fact it may perform poorly. I would try the low octane first and if you hear pinging move up a grade. Scooters are for the most part designed to be operated in countries with less than ideal conditions and many only need 87. But who cares what we think? Read the owners manual or follow the sticker recommendations on the bike. No owner's manual? Find one and read it...

Its best to actually drain it by pulling the fuel line. Otherwise you run more crap through the system. Running it empty is ok but not ideal

You may want to drain and flush the fuel tank and put fresh fuel. Add the recommended amount of sea foam to the tank once filled freshly and it will likely all be good after that...

Thanks guys it was the left foot but it should be good in a week or so. This is not my first wreck so no worries I will be back on 2 wheels soon. Kat I was sorry the dog had to die I wish I could have missed him. It was quick and he didn't suffer at least.
Looks like I will likely be shopping for a new bike though based on the conversation with Progressive. I really like the wing and I may be able to find another we'll see...

Well it didn't throw me from the bike till I landed. He hit my rear wheel kinda funny and the bike didn't land square and threw me high side I jumped but didn't quite clear the bike which caught my foot. I slid to a stop and the bike came up next to me. I likely would be dead without the helmet and still in the hospital with out the armor. I have full coverage insurance from progressive so all the gear the bike and what have you is covered 100%. Should all work out fine... Thanks to everyone for the concern. I'll be on crutches for a day or so and will be a little while (week or so) before I can ride a bike it will take that time for the insurance to go through anyway...

This thing was like the size of a German Sheppard. Likely a feral dog
