"But naysayers will still bring up the hefty price tag (the DS starts at $13,995 for the smaller battery and goes up to $15,995 for the larger one); the fact that electric vehicles aren’t as “green” as they are claimed to be; and that you still have to use power to charge them. True, true and true." Quote from the Zero DS review at CycleWorld Someday soon electric bikes will be a force to be reckoned with but it's not quite there yet...

I'll give it this... it's a nice looking bike. Looks like a Honda Reflex 250 Besides the batteries being expensive and impractical you are basically paying China to rape the Earth for the materials. There is nothing green about electric vehicles the mining process for rare Earth metals removes entire mountains. Despite what people think China is not the only place they are found it's just the only country willing to destroy it's natural beauty and people to mine them. Every where else the processes are illegal. Don't buy electric...

Feathering the clutch (if you're on their Rebels) sux. think we can request a scooter. although i wouldn't mind learning to shift but mostly just want to pass first time around. The course I took they basically guaranteed you would pass even if it wasn't that day the fee assured you ample abilities to obtain your license. The way they looked at it if you didn't pass they failed. Learn how to ride a motorcycle including the clutch. It's not all that hard and you will be lucky if you ever get out of 2nd in the course.
