Hey looking for some help i have a tao tao vip that i have done some work to. Performance coil, air filter, carb and what not but it will not start via electric start only kick when i have the performance cdi on but if i put the stock one back on it with fire right up. Its the last thing i want to do to it and its bugging me really bad thanks

Yeah with the new cdi i toke it oit and checked for spark there was none. Put the old one back on checked spark and i have good spark

well I'm not getting a bigger carb I'm get one with bigger jets already in it. I worded that wrong sorry. My is due for a cleaning anyways so i just got a new one but its in the mail like a month out. Any of you guys know aboit the cdi box tho. My scoot won't start via electric start. I have to kick start it.

I have a gy6 with the 1p39qmb engine. Its a taotao vip. I have recently gutted the exhaust and put a performance cdi and coil. Ran fine until i put an aftermarket air filer on the ran like crap. I have a bigger carb on the way but is there anything i can do till then? Right now i put the stock air box back on it. It is cold out to right now in michigan dont know if that has to do with it. Cause the stock air box has a tube that goes in it that supplies warm air but it has to be deleted once i put the aftermarket filter on. Just dont make sense to me. And with the new cdi i have to use the kick start to start it why is that?
