Hey looking for some help i have a tao tao vip that i have done some work to. Performance coil, air filter, carb and what not but it will not start via electric start only kick when i have the performance cdi on but if i put the stock one back on it with fire right up. Its the last thing i want to do to it and its bugging me really bad thanks

think you'll need a different cdi. some of them are trash causing difficult starts. think it has to do with the timing. tvnacman (john) sells a performance advancing timing cdi that solves that problem. (gold casoli) i've also had good results with the orange performance cdi from scrappy.

There is also a chance the timing is is slightly off , and with the advanced timing cdi , well its just too much .
