pull a vac line , inject some fuel in it and see if it starts . John Which vac line? I've heard injecting some gas directly into the intake manifold port, is this right?

When you adjusted the valves. Were you able to spin the flywheel to get the piston to TDC? I spun it from the variator, but yes

I can't get any compression reading
Also the kick starter seems to be stuck i can't even attempt to kick start it, could this be the root of the problem?

Ok so i switched out the cdi, no change, here's a video of me trying to start it a few times hopefuly this helps I have spark CDI is good Adjusted the valves to .004 and .005 Disassembled and cleaned carb, no leaks anywhere

first get the compr ession done that will tell most of story then we can go to next step. Question you didn't get and bad gas or water in it? and make sure gas is getting to carb? kill switch is on ? Got gas where I always do I have clear fuel lines so I know it's getting gas plus the carb had gas in it when I removed it Killswitch is off,if it was on it wouldnt do anything when I try to start it

I had just changed the oil last week and put the right amount in. It is the first time that I have used synthetic though. The oil level is still fine but it won't start. Basically here's where I'm at right now: Engine gets spark. Valves adjusted to .004 and .005 inch Carb disassembled and cleaned. No vacuum leaks, no blocked passageways. No intake manifold leak. Compression checked by putting finger over hole and cranking.
When I try to start it, the cvt will give a slight turn and ill hear it trying to start, but only for a second. Giving it gas while trying to start doesnt seem to make a difference.
I'm at a loss of what to do next but I need to get this thing running asap.
I'm going to get a compression gauge today to get some accurate information, but what else should I be checking out?

Sounds like a soft seize may have happened,,,check the oil level Oil level is still fine How do i check/repair a soft seize?

Remove the sparkplug from the engine, put it in the coil, then put the sparkplug electrode right next to the frame or engine head, not touching, but almost; crank the engine, you should see a spark. Ok so I'm getting spark I adjusted the valves Cleaned the carb Still no start What else can I do

1 year old 150cc gy6 taotao powermax 5k miles gets used about miles a week Ok so was driving to work, all of a sudden started to lose power, slowed down and shut off. Picked it up later at night, still doesn't start. I had heard a slight clicking or tapping sound the night before it broke down, so I thought the valves were maybe too tight, but thought if that was the issue it would have started after a few hours. So I checked the carb for any leaks / loose lines. Intake manifold is fine. Did the finger test for compression seems ok. Made sure the ignition coil wasn't loose. Took off cvt cover everything is fine in there. So I plan on checking everything out with a volt meter today. Reseting valve lash and cleaning out the carb. Is there anything I might be forgetting? The only thing I've done different to the scoot recently is I just switched to synthetic oil a week ago. No leaks or anything I'm assuming this is coincidence. Also I plan on switching out the cdi but I have little faith that's going to work

Do you have the 50cc or 150cc, I've seen the future champion stickers on both, the 150cc one is a taotao powermax There is a hose that comes out of the cvt case for venting (im assuming) that was on mine that eventually fell off, but it would definitely be easier to figure out with a picture

Right after I told a friend that i never get pulled over in the scooter, I got stopped by a motorcycle cop. Week later got stopped for passing traffic in the shoulder.
