Cut the Vacuum line and leave about 1 inch and then bend the vacuum line over and zip tie it. I would not trust jb weld it may just suck it right into the intake. OK will do. Thanks

The hoses from the tank to the petock and to the carb and just pictures of all around the top with the wires also. I noticed there is a canister on the right side like across from the carb. I am figureing that is from tyhe PAIR system which you do not have anymore So if that is the case disconnect the vacuum hose at the INTAKE MANIFOLD and plug it there and you can take the canister and its hoses out. Could I use jb weld to plug the hole on the intake manifold? I don't have any rubber nipple covers at the moment.

No that is the BENDIX the starter turns it and the gear on the bendix that parts comes out and engages Teeth on the Variator outer pulley and turns the crank to make the piston go up and down and start the motor. The shaft on the end of the bendix fits into a slot in the CVT cover. so when you put it on make sure the BENDIX shaft goes into the hole inside the CVT cover that is what holds the STARTER BENDIX level. Alleyoop OK thanks. I'll figure out where those wires lead to in the morning. What all do you need pictures of?

alleyoop jerseyboyI feel like this looks wrong. Is it supposed to be on the variator? I may have knocked it off when I turned the variator by hand. I didn't pay attention to how it was before I did it Lol.

Well if the wires feeding the starter are bad a new starter motor wont solve the problem,,i had a bad ground wire once and the starter turned over very slow,,the wire would get really hot and start melting the insulation,,i replaced the wire and all was good. So make sure none of the wires are getting hot and burning through insulation from high resistance..before buying a starter. Wire is cheaper than a motor. I've looked over the starter motor wires multiple times and it seems in perfect condition.

I think John thought it might be hydro locked with fuel and oil but its not,if it was there would be a mess coming out of the exhaust and plug hole. That starter sounds really gritty too me,,maybe its just me Wonder if it will fire if you put a little fuel in the spark plug hole then put the plug in tight and try? Is it cranking over faster now with the plug in and a battery jump,,or is it still stopping before compression stroke like it was? There's a few videos of it with just the scoot battery and with a car battery. It turns over a little bit faster with the Car but still not fast enough. I'm thinking about ordering new starter motor.

It cranks a lot faster without the sparkplug can we hear it ? Heres the video of it without sparkplug Scooter cranking with out sparkplug: Thanks Joeybee but we just hope we roll a 7 or 11 and no Snake Eyes, Box cars or Craps..LOL

I bet its seized , pull the spark plug and see if it cranks faster . It is just not locked up . John It cranks a lot faster without the sparkplug

I rode it for about an hour and 30 minutes Lol i really didn't want to park it. I was too happy to have it running. Was it without the black shroud ? John Yes. It didn't come with any of the shrouds surrounding the motor besides the fan cover

I don't believe that connection on the battery going to the solenoid is the problem of slow cranking. The problem is IT IS NOT FIRING so make sure the wires on the valve cover Connect to the Frame. Also are your sure the KILLSWITCH is in the RUN POSITION, if not then NO SPARK. When it did start it fired twice and started right up.

What if its messed up somewhere and not letting it fire

That connection does look bad. Typically when I do battery connections I solder the connection, then use heat shrink tubing. It may be over doing it, but I'm 100% sure of the connection. OK how should I go about redoing the battery connection? Should I just take the ring off then strip the wire down a lil bit then re crimp it? I don't have a soldering iron at the moment Lol.

how long did you run that engine ? Have you rechecked the compression ? John I rode it for about an hour and 30 minutes Lol i really didn't want to park it. I was too happy to have it running.
