Ok, And I saw you cover the Air intake and saw fuel so that is good. And good that all the teeth are there must of been the lighting when you took the picture. Ok so now Lets check the SPARK and see if the spark plug is firing. If you have a spare spark plug take BOOT CAP off the spark plug on the motor and stick the spar in the Boot cap then Just Hold the METAL part of the SPARK PLUG on the VALVE COVER and just crank it over some and see if it is sparking. If it does then we also need to check the one in the motor that spark plug may be bad or the gap is way off or closed. In both cases It should spark a nice blue spark. Alleyoop OK will do!

alleyoop last time I was at the garage I got it to fire after I covered the intake completely with my hand. It would only fire once but then go back to cranking like in the video. Another thing that weird is how come it cranks faster when I cover the intake?

Sooner or later you're going to have to get the nuts off the variator and clutch anyway. The rollers and the 3 "v" guides that are in the variator need replaced over time. I wouldn't be surprised if they are overdue for replacement. Maybe even your belt, too, especially if that piece of fuzzy belt in the pic is coming from the belt you have on there now. How many miles does the scoot have anyway? 1701

Looks like the belt had shreded before and it was not cleaned out. You need to take the Variator off and make sure there are no pieces of belt causing some binding. OK will do. And I'll check for any missing teeth Do I need ant special tools to remove the variator

I've had a few friends who got secondhand scoots like that. I ended up checking everything, found things like on a couple the valve head vent hose was plugged up with a screw at the end or stuck onto something it shouldn't have. I've seen the electrical systems on them totalled as if the previous owner got upset and just tore the wires. It's always good to do a throurough check on secondhand vehicles. I'm planning to get a second scoot soon with my tax refund. I plan to only buy from people who let me take off the seat and look at everything inside. I am not going to buy a secondhand Frankenstein. Yeah I would've been mad at him if I bought it. Its probably why i got it for free. Because he was tired of messing with it

No I actually forgot to do that but I will do it today. And the person I got this scoot from had brought it to a guy who had rigged it up in alot of places. So there are a lot of taped wires, and I found a spot on the thin ground wire that was not taped together and I just retaped it and it turns over again instead of clicking at the solenoid
