sounds like a bad intake boot or bad vacuum leak to me.... When you changed the carb, did you seat it all the way into the intake boot and then clamp it down? That's where I'd start anyway. Also, make sure you are running that air cleaner... preferably the stock one, if you replaced the carb. If you have an aftermarket one, you will need to jet the carb differently but since you replaced it (assuming you didn't change the jets that came with it), it will be more or less set up for stock exhaust and intake. Also make sure that intake boot is not cracked and all the vacuum lines are hooked up properly. Also check and make sure the index mark on the carb is lined up. There is a notch on the carb and it should slide between the two notches on the outside, top of the intake boot. If this is not in correctly, the carb float may not like it much.
Here's what I do, if I have to remove the carb on a bike for jetting, or rebuild, I just go ahead and change the intake boot, unless I know it's been done recently. They crack and harden.
Any vacuum leak on one of these bikes, will just make it run weird and irratic. (Oh... Intake boot, is the intake manifold, they are cheap for 150's)

I got pissed with Window with Vista, so I traded sides.... moved to OSX.... Other then for work, I just don't use windows. I use open office at home if I have to work from home, and I just like it better. I really haven't played with windows 8. My work comp is windows 7. It seems ok, but I'm more at home on my Macs.
Just me.... and what I prefer. (actual desk top is a Hackintosh) with a dual monitor set up.... A MUST!!!!! way more productive... I even had them set up a second monitor at work for me. It really helps when I'm swapping between email and spreadsheets....

I agree, for a small scoot that is awesome..... I've taken long day trips on my 150, usually we do 100 or so... with frequent stops..... But you are tired when you get home.

One of the biggest advantage of a scoot over most small motorcycles is tons of storage! I even moved my battery so I would have more room under the seat. Then I have a set of canvas, battle scared, and tattered, throw over saddlebags for mine as well....
I always thought that if I ever got one of the big rukus clones(which I drool over) I'd want to get a couple of ammo boxes (cheap at the gun store) and mount them to the sides, as that scoot suffers from lack of storage.

Most of the bearings are common parts.... And I can get high quality Japenese one's cheap, same day. Just got to know where to go. But then I buy bearings, compressors, and other MRO stuff, for a living. It kills me putting chinese bearings back in these things, I just won't do it. Agreed 100% I buy all kinds of supplies for industry. Japan makes quality bearings at half the cost of the big boys (timken,sealmaster...)I get from several sources. Sometimes though, you run into a specialty bearing, and you gotta pay. Funny though, That 1600 dollar bearing , I had to order it from england. GUESS WHAT---- MADE IN CHINA-shipped to england-then to belfast ireland- then to the states.I could'nt beleive it. A chinese company bought the machinery company that made it. A lot of the textile equipment has gone that way even german companies. Don't leave India out. They are making a lot of machined fittings (Hoke for one) and the quality is comparable. China and India are going to become the next Japan.

Really nice looking Helix....
Those were never my fav as far as styling, but, I'd own one in a heart beat, just because they were and are some of the nicest riding and most comfortable scoots on the road. And they were bullet and bomb proof

Caller: Ring Ring, Advance Auto may I help you: Caller: Yes do you have belts for CVTs size blah blah blah, Parts: not in stock but we can order one for you: Caller: How much are the belts: Parts: $69.00: Caller: WHAT!! I don't want a new CVT just the belt that is outrageous forget it: CLICK Alleyoop And bearings are the same way. I've bought thousands of bearings (the most expensive was$1,600 from ireland) anyway, I've seen a common bearing I can get for 3 to 5 bucks sell for 15 or 20.-and more Best to get belts and bearings, chain, sprockets etc from an industrial supplier Not a Retail store.Or get it from a member of this forum. There's plenty of smaller suppliers here that would appreciate the buisiness. Most of the bearings are common parts.... And I can get high quality Japenese one's cheap, same day.
