It does look like a big ruckus with the plastics off. If you did a few little mods, like welding some crash bars on to the frame, it would be even closer.... pretty awesome.

I've seen it here.... the local scooter club won't even look at you if you are not riding one of the italian brands.... Because of there snobery, I won't have anything to do with them, even tho I now ride an italian bike... It's just not the kind of folks I want to hang with.

Guys, I'm looking for a headlight assembly for a 150cc rowdy. I've been online to the usual suspects.... The bike looks like a big Rukus, and it was built by znen.
Anyone know of a good body parts supplier for znen, I'd appreciate it.

On a lighter note..... When I first saw thread title I was thinking it would be "wife jailed for beating husband that spent to much time working on scooter". PCB That would be my wife.... LOL

I've riden the last three days to work. I usually use the freeway, but on the way home today, I took some back streets to escape the traffic. Very relaxing trip home.

At work, and I use mine quite often, I just park in a parking stall. It's a homeland security site, so it's pretty safe... yup, armed security....

First mod is to get it running then cleaned up. From there I'll probably just do a repaint with my own wicked twist. I bought it because my buddies and I want to go touring. I'll probably sell it later, as I really want a 1500 goldwing. Goldwings, I've always thought of as kind of vulgar, but man are they nice riding and very dependable bikes.

It should all fit back together but often times you have to finagle them. Usually a few swear words will help. sometimes a squirt of soapy water helps. Sometimes a combination of both. Also, make sure that carb is seated completely... You will hear it "pop" into place.
The air boxes on these bike fit very poorly. I did one that was so bad, we ended up getting rid of the air box and going with a uni filter. Not for performance it fit so bad that we couldn't get it to seal right. Then I had to rejet the carb with a 120 and raise the needle to the bottom notch to make it all work. That bike had a high flow exhaust from the factory.
Something to note, these bikes have been know to be jetted really lean. Mine had a 107 jet in it. To give you an idea, 109 jet is about right for a 150. I'm now running a 115 jet and it's close. Every bike is a little different with jetting so your milage may vary. I'm also 6' above sea level so that makes a huge difference as well. In honda's original design they used a 110 jet, and on the helix forums they constantly complain about these bikes being jetted too lean.
Just some food for thought

Seems a bit trivial, but I learned a good trick from my Gold Wing buddy about the timing belts. When you replace them, make sure the labels line up exactly. It is not for show. If one belt's label moves out of line with the other, it is an early warning of an impending failure. It lets you proactively replace the belts before you bend a valve. Yeah, but if I'm gonna pull that cover to look at the belts... I'm just going to change them. My goldwing is a little more of a challenge to pull those covers as it has the poor boy alternator conversion on it. Yup... a Suzuki swift alternator driven off a modified crank pulley. It means anytime you want to check the timing belts, you got to pull the radiator and some extra brackets. Timing belts are pretty cheap, 40 bucks for a set of Gates belts, so changing them at 20k (interval is 30k) just makes sense.

They all have there quirks, advantages and downfalls. I love my Apillia... it's awesome and I'm willing to wager it's more comfortable on the freeway then most HD's, has great storage and still manages to get just shy of 50mpg. Harley Davidsons just look awesome but I'd rather have a Vintage Indian and it wouldn't be a bike I ride everyday. My 250 is not the most comfortable bike in the world and the plastics.... well I have never seen somthing fit together so badly in my entire life... but it's a fun little bike... and it's easy to work on, parts are cheap and plentiful, and it gets 65-75 mgp, depending on how heavy handed I am with it. I have a real sence of accomplishment when I ride that bike, becuase I've pretty much rebuilt and painted everything on it and you can really throw it around left turns (the side stand scraps really bad on right turns... LOL) My Goldwing... well she's not running yet... I'll report back. I will say this tho... Even tho the Goldwing is an 82, the panel fitmet, etc, is better then the 2006 Aprillia, and that bike is nothing to sneeze at, They are both, very well built bikes. I really don't care, I'll ride anything.... I'd even buy a spree, if the price s right... I wonder what an Aero would look like on my mantle? LOL I'd even ride one of these...

It should be the correct one.... I very much dislike motorpartsmax. I've used the one from Scrappies.
What part of it is not fitting.... the carb side or the head side? The measurements on the carb side opening from your old one are probably not going to be accurate, as that is one of the places where they stretch. The carb will just "snap" in when you have the right one. How many vacuum ports on the old one? Two? The new on will have one. You just need to get a t-connector from your local autoparts store and you good to go. Where the vacuume fitting is is not important as long as it's there.

don't rule out used.... look at a used Vino 125... very solid and about as fast as a chinese 150. It will sip gas and won't feel any heavier then the 50.
Heck, my Touring scoot (500cc Aprillia Scrabareo) was purchased for 1600 bucks, yes it's a 2006 but and for that I got fuel injection, trip computer, Aprillia side bags and a scoot that can run on the freeway (it will actually do the ton)... and actually get you in lots of trouble (I call it holigan mode:)
In short there is alot of good used scoots out there... and the money you save, you can spend on really good gear.
Of course, you can finance the new ones... and you get a warrenty....

either way, it's funny.... I'll go out on a limb and make a prediction.....One day the world will wake up and find it's going to say "Standard of China" We already do. Most cell phones are already made in China, and most of them, the quality is pretty top notch. Espicially when you consider the tech that's involved and the price. Yeah, there are some real pieces of junk out there, but bye and large, quality is getting better every year. Other places to look is Pakistan and India. There was once a time when stuff from Japan was junk. Now look.
