i like the idea,,but battery life and range are issues at least for me,,,and i'd like the idea even better with some kind of solar charge arrangement like foldable panels that could be deployed for quick charging while you were at work or any time its parked in the daytime so youre always "topped up",,,i think a hybrid arrangement is best for right now,,,a very small 25-30cc engine to run a generator so it's always being charged ,,,kinda like a train locomotive Posted this awhile back. itistheride.boards.net/thread/8693/gogoro-scooter-plug-power

Well I can tell you my 250 is rated at 65mph, having already gone on "The 10" at well over 70mph, the listed speed is probably a little conservative. Also the posting is not so much about performance as it is about the constantly evolving quality of the Chinese product. Since the Chinese government is outlawing scooters and motorcycles in major cities, manufactures must turn to the export market, where they have to compete with the already well established Japanese brands. In order to succeed they will have to bring the quality levels to Japan standards, this I am convinced the Chinese will do, just at a lower price. The era of the super cheap Chinese scoot may be at an end, but that of the of the good quality intermediate scoot is just beginning.

I think we all have lost focus here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is the name of the forum? One guy sells parts the other guy buys parts, the guy selling wants the guy buying to be riding. The guy buying wants to get the correct parts so he/she can ride. Ok there is a fitment issue here, why bother to expend all this energy to point fingers. Lets get this figured out, is it part error or is there something different about your engine causing it not to fit? Lets get it figured out and move on . The strange thing here is you guys are bickering over what $20, For what like the twenty makes a difference to either of you. John While I see your point John that's do remember this and it's the same with a lot of things. I just sent in a camera lens that failed on a Nikon camera I bought 3 years ago, the camera is fine but the lens is a power type that automatically focuses the pictures, it quit working. The camera had a 3 year warranty but it's out but both lenses have a 5 year warranty. spent my time and money to send it in, wait 2 weeks to get a email saying it'll cost $103.50 to fix it, remember I said Warranty. called went through the BS had to send a copy of the receipt which I did still have and got it fixed under warranty..........or at least I thought it was? Got it back 3 days ago, guess what, it still doesn't work. My point? Went through a lot of crap, was looking forward to using the lens through the holidays and it's now on the way back to Nikon. Person orders their part, waits for it to get to them, anxious to fix their machine and ride and the part is wrong, frustrations sets in and it doesn't matter if the part cost $0.20 your machine is still down. What I would like to take the time right now is to compliment every single member here especially the OP and Matt form PFS for discussing this situation like adults and not slamming each other and making this thread one that has to be dealt with in a way that people have to be told to act like adults. JR Well said. I especally liked the last part about acting like adults.

So you can wear them under a regular pair of jeans to make things a little less "grabby"

Sorry to hear abut this, it must have been rather a shock when it popped out like that. I hope your wrist is feeling better soon and both you and your scoot make a full recovery. BTW, have you seen these? www.xp3hornet.com/

Hiya and welcome to our little meeting spot. (lots of friendly folks here) I'm sure you'll find the Buddy will turn your commute from a chore to a joy, and just think how you can accessorize! And since you have a newfound love of pink, just wait until you meet Kat.

Thanks! These should work even better on the notoriously difficult (at times) Chinese screws and bolts.
