What I hate: Spending four years turning a Chinese scoot into a two wheeled "Jag-u-are" What I love: Spending four years turning a cheap Chinese scoot into a two wheeled "Jag-u-are" Lol!

Well all I know is I received my 250 Znen scoot back in 2011 in the color I wanted with no damage. Since it was Chinese, I did upgrades, but as far as SPS I have no complaints. (As for the BBB, take it with a grain of salt.)

I never got the idea of needing 600cc's on a scooter. I have no problems rolling down the freeway on my 250. If you feel the need for a larger bike then just buy a motorcycle.

spandi, correct, the 257 is a yamaha product. the engine pictured in post 3 is not the 257 though, it's the 244. sorry DTF, I goofed. I got the post for the red 250 scoot mixed up with the posting for the white one. Lol

why would i recommend a yamaha product for the engine pictured in reply 3? because the 257cc engine is a clone of the Yamaha motor and not the Honda.

I've read, if it's true, that these can get around 75 MPG. hmmm . . . i suspect that would be with a lean main jet. mine got on the low side of the 50-60MPG (between 50 and 55) actually the heavier rollers gives better high end performance because they shift the torque curve to the high end. the opposite is true with lighter weights, they give better low end performance. you can't increase the hp of your engine by adjusting the roller weights. i would check the wiring connector, make sure the wires are making the connection. with a half gallon of coolant, you shouldn't have any overheating issues. mine didn't have a gauge, it just had the light. also, try to get a genuine honda intake manifold. the vacuum fuel valve will probably need replacing too, and i suggest a manual valve (but an electric one will work). the drawback with a manual valve is forgetting to shut off the fuel when parking your ride. dontcha' mean get an OEM YAMAHA intake manifold?

The Roar has a tendency to overheating. We had one member here who bought two of them and while out on a long ride (about 130 miles) it got so hot it shut down. Before I ever went out I changed the coolant for made in USA aluminum friendly stuff, and rode up a 4000 foot elevation while running COOL. That's why doing a fluid dump is one of the best things you can do for your import scoot,
