No matter what you click when you see that screen you just accepted the download. You will have to run your windows repair disk to get your machine back if you do anything other than close your browser. Not going to agree with that. For instance since I run two programs if it is a serious threat one of them grabs it first and then quarentees the threat and keeps it out of your system. Once this happens one can look at the history report and then start looking at what it is and where it's coming from to get it off of your forum or avoid it should it not be removed. Just for safety I then run a scan of my system to make sure it's clean after the threat is removed. JR

First of all Hank and Lykos23 thanks for reporting this and helping with the issue. If all remember when I first installed the picture scroll we had some say Avast went nuts over it. Even though I knew it wasn't a virus of Trojan I started an immediate search as to why and didn't care what antivirus you had, didn't want it to act up on any of them. Doug and I got on it, found it and all is well and it was a simple Java script error and it wanted to act like a "possible" virus/Trojan.
I read the thread over there Lyko23 and for all the ones who said this and said that here is some things to know.
Just like some of you stated I use Windows Defender and Malawarebytes the Pro version and it was singing a tune when going that sight and it only sent an alarm when going to a thread not the main page, tells me it could have been a simple image that was corrupted from an image source like PB? Yes it happens.
Also one said it didn't bother Norton and he doesn't know it but it was bothering people with Norton also, personally I consider Norton the worst antivirus around but that's my opinion and it's not meant to start an argument over who's is best. For me it's not the free bit about a antivirus program but the it works and allows me to use my computer at the same time. I've never dealt with Avast but some people swear by it and again if it's saying a possible threat along with other known antivirus programs then IMO it should be dealt with.
This post also wasn't a ooooooooh stay away from the "other" bad old virus malware forum but rather a warning of a "possible" threat just like when we had a "possible" issue here.
How they handle it is their business.

Dave you politely asked about this thread and the rules, interesting subject and I'm sure lots of different opinions are available but I see problem written all over this so I'm going to also politely lock it.

Don't know what the deal is with Jeremy and I'll not get in between you two and the issue. But I will say that if the CDI (and I'm sure it's yours) is indeed the picture you sent him then point blank it's AC. I'm surprised the DC one even sparked at all but again the one in the picture is AC.
Frankly I'm surprised anyone would say a 50cc CDI is DC? If they are putting DC type CDI's on standard Chinese 50cc scooters then they don't want the luxury of being able to kick start it with a dead or no battery.
Want to prove it to even yourself that it is AC? Unhook the battery and see if it'll kick start? To make it easier start it with the electric start first and then unhook the battery with it running and watch it keep running. DC type CDI's MUST have a fully charged battery to run, unhook the battery and it'll die, will not start with a battery voltage lower than 10Vdc and if it is DC then it'll not have a kick starter with the exception of a few scooters I know one being the CfMoto E-Charm 150cc. It is DC and has a kick starter. Don't know of a 50cc out there that is the same? If so then let me know.

The way to tell if you have a ac or dc is turn your ignition switch on and look at the headlight if its on its DC if not its AC What the head lights do or don't do has nothing to do with what the CDI is as far as AC or DC. There are scooters that have AC type CDI's with a DC type charging system that the headlights come on with a switch and the scooter not running or with it running, example is scooters with 11 or 12 coil stators. His picture shows a AC type CDI simple as that. Headlights on a scooter run either off of the AC side of the R/R or directly from the DC battery source again the has nothing to do with telling you what type CDI it is. Also the it's a bigger CDI makes it a ?? type CDI isn't always the norm but the voltage feed to the CDI is determined by one factor and it's is the voltage supply feed. On his CDI pictured the red/black wire is AC from the stator and can be checked with a meter to verify this with the engine turning over. DC type CDI's will have a DC power feed from the battery through the ignition with the key turned on usually on Chinese scooters it's a black wire. The correct way to determine the type of CDI on your scooter is finding out the supply power voltage to it either AC with the scooter engine turning over or DC with the key on. Also with the exception of one scooter I've found a Malaguti I have never seen a DC type CDI on a 50cc scooter. JR

This came up on 2 different virus scans and I know another who just let me know that his Norton Antivirus scan totally blocked the site. Someone has probably downloaded a image or file that is corrupted or has a hidden virus or malaware? Also this is a web scan from a good source that checks websites for possible problems and it's results. sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www.scootdawg.net/index.phpI use this all the time to keep a check even on our forum, it's easy to get a problem and not even know it unless you keep a watch. news.msn.com/us/more-severe-weather-after-thursdays-tornado-outbreakStill not so good in places, right now we have partly cloudy skies and just light rain at times, still extremely humid and hot, perfect weather for twisters. But if it can get into tonight the prediction is for cooler even as low as the high 50's which with cooler air takes the risk out of them forming greatly. This storm front is predicted to leave by Monday. JR

news.msn.com/us/tornadoes-touch-down-in-oklahoma-and-arkansasI can add updates to this, just a little while ago in the little town of Paron on Hwy 9 just south of me a tornado destroyed a local church, according to the TV report it was totally leveled. No injuries though. It was a pleasant and warm day Tuesday and Wednesday and I finished cleaning out a old fence row and plowed some ground for a huge crop of sunflowers that I grow every year. ;D I mentioned that a little rain shower would be nice to get them started. Chances of rain this morning was at 40%. Man have we got all 40%! Current storm cell moving this way has reported up to 60 MPH winds with 1/4" size hail. Got all the vehicles in the carport and under the shed. May be a rough night ahead but better weather predicted tomorrow but a 60% of bad storms Saturday. I'm satisfied the sunflowers have had enough rain. JR

Please post the pic of it strapped to your bike for your ride home with it. I took my Silverado and even then didn't realize how long it was, had to leave the tail gate down! But that was the easy part, this thing weighs 300lbs. My wife and 17 year old stepson had went to visit her family and it didn't take me long to remember that I don't lift 300lbs very well anymore. Thus the chains, ropes and hoists were used to get it in my shop! Now I've just got to uncrate it and do the minor assembly and I'm good to go. JR

I've wanted one of these for a long time and Harbor Freight hasn't been in my area very long, in fact the closet store is in Little Rock over a hour away but I couldn't turn this deal down! www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb-capacity-motorcycle-lift-68892-8495.htmlNote the normal price of $699.99 and on sale for $423.99 but that's not the final price I paid! Harbor Freight if you look always has coupons online for additional savings and if the shipping hadn't been $89 and was on one of their free shipping specials I wouldn't have even drove to Little Rock. So when I saw this I started looking online for their latest coupon saving offers and found what became a really unique one at least by the sales clerk and Doug had even told me he hadn't ever saw this with HF? www.dealsoff.com/harbor-freight-coupons/But from what I saw this evening while finding this coupon sight again one can even find 50% savings coupons! Now I'm really mad! ;D But after all the smoke cleared and the free item coupon which they allowed me to use today I got this lift for $324 tax and all. I got the free tarp with the Memorial Day Only coupon as well. JR
