Expanding on my original post... I've learned that aftermarket is a better way to go than OEM. I picked up a set of boppers (120/ -10, 130/ -10) from Motorcycle-Superstore for $82.97 shipped. Some have mentioned issues with receiving old tires from them, but I called to confirm I'll be able to return them for a full refund if there are any issues. They're low on stock on both so I'm hoping this is a tire they go through pretty quickly and they don't sit around too long. Now I need to find an aftermarket pipe similar to the OEM pipe that won't require additional tuning. Any suggestions?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good guide for derestricting a 2009 50cc Yamaha Zuma? While I have no doubt someone here will eventually respond with the info you're looking for... In the mean time, you may want to try a Zuma forum. Zuma forums . netProvoScooter . comThanks, dmartin95!

Well if your carb is like that one in the video, the Throttle control wheel has a stopper to limit how much the needle is raised out of the defuser. So that is definitely a restricted throttle. Hey Alleyoop, I have no idea if my carb is like the one in the video because I have not taken the scoot apart yet. I was honestly hoping to avoid doing so if possible (which it may not be). In my O.P. when I said "throttle handle", I should have said "accelerator". The mechanic had mentioned the adjustment needed to be made in the accelerator, not in the actual carb/throttle/control wheel. But based the vid, I'm guessing he just didn't know what he was talking about. Is this something you have done? Thanks.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good guide for derestricting a 2009 50cc Yamaha Zuma? I'd prefer a guide that you know has been effectively used before. Thanks. I was told by a Yamaha mechanic that the adjustment needs to be made in the actual throttle handle, but I've also seen videos such as this one that are more involved (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7b8wzsmSiBg) so I'm not sure which method is correct. Thanks.

Hey all,
So I need to get a battery tender/trickle charger for my scoot battery. Are those two terms for the same thing, used interchangably, or are they different things?
How do I figure out which one I should get for my scoot?
Thanks,

Storing my scoot for the winter. Is it better to run the engine every so often or just let it chill (after proper winterizing) until I'm ready to resume regular riding?
