Barboursville, VA here. 20 min north of Charlottesville. Have 150, will travel. Well, a little bit anyway.

Flaky. I'm reasonably sure someone else had this on their bike. It may have been a protector, but it doesn't peel off like one. It flakes when I can get under it, but there's no raised edge on these panels.

My Dash 150 had some type of outer layer peel off the front off-color piece. The black panels don't have this layer. It peeled off pretty easy and looks better and stays clean. My side panels are not peeling off as easy and they get dirty very quickly. Is there something I can use to help get rid of this layer and not harm the actual colored plastic?

Does it need to be running to see the blue, or is it a general discoloration?

OK, well as long as it's not an indicator of another problem. Thanks for the info.

I know the exhaust is going to be a bit warm after a ride, but it appears that the rubber(?) rings around the muffler and between it and the clamps are smoking. Is this normal?
Bike is a GY6 150, 1200 mi, completely stock except for a new carb, which is the same size, just not clogged and un-cleanable. The old one couldn't be taken apart, but the bike was doing it with the last one. It has the PAIR system which I thought was supposed to feed fresh air to the exhaust gas to both burn off excess vapors and keep it cool. I didn't hear any popping from the exhaust on the ride.
Weather here was about 60-65 when riding, I only got a plate on it two weeks ago, so I didn't do any riding in the true summer heat. In fact with the sun going down it was downright chilly at 55mph.
I can't think of any other specific info that might help you diagnose this issue, but if you need more, just ask. Thanks in advance.
