My Dash 150 had some type of outer layer peel off the front off-color piece. The black panels don't have this layer. It peeled off pretty easy and looks better and stays clean. My side panels are not peeling off as easy and they get dirty very quickly. Is there something I can use to help get rid of this layer and not harm the actual colored plastic?

Was it flaky like poorly applied clear coat? Or was it a decal? Or maybe just a paint protector that was meant to be peeled off after delivery?

Flaky. I'm reasonably sure someone else had this on their bike. It may have been a protector, but it doesn't peel off like one. It flakes when I can get under it, but there's no raised edge on these panels.
