[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]Alley you keep mentioning about a ground to the frame.... IF I take that wire off the bottom of the disconnect switch and connect it BACK to the negative terminal... that is how it was in the beginning... It was NEVER connected to the frame...
All I did was take the wire that was connected ALREADY to the battery and put that on the bottom of the disconnect switch... And then take another wire and connect it to the top of the disconnect switch then connect that to the negative terminal...
In other words it like I cut the original wire in half and connected each end to the disconnect switch... that is all that was done... Where is the frame come into play??
ONLY ONE wire is connected to the battery terminal.. Sorry If I worded it wrong... The one that is connected is the TOP wire.... the bottom wire is the one that WAS connected to the terminal to begin with..

Im sorry I started all this.. All I wanted was some help to get my scooter back up and running since I hadn't been able to ride it in two months.. My ONLY question right now is... You all keep saying about a ground to the frame and make sure its connected to the frame.... Help me here... ALL DID was take the wire that was connected to the battery on the negative side and put that on the bottom of the DISCONNECT then ran another wire back to the same terminal I took the OTHER wire off of... And when I turn the disconnect key to the off position it does shut down all power... you can't start it with out the disconnect key in the on position... So my head is fried.. not sure if im coming or going... WHERE is the wire that is supposed to be connected to the frame??? Here is a picture of what I did....

JR..
OK where do I start... First It was not like this when I got it.. And Yes it happened all of a sudden. Was driving home from work and they were out. Crazy thing is they have come back on twice since they have been out, then went out again, now out for good..
They happened AFTER I put in the battery disconnect. The way the battery disconnect is I ran the wire from the -- connector to the disconnect then a piece of battery wire I had and ran that from the disconnect to the --- terminal on the battery. I did disconnect the whole battery when doing this. I have taken it apart as well and connected it normal and it was still doing the same thing.. But If I remember correctly when I did that.. The + was still connected to the battery... If im not mistaken I got this from Bashan (i think you know who he is) on another site.. And it was connected to the --- side I hope.. I hope I didn't mess anything up..

Nope this is an ongoing battle.. its like personal now.. But I heard JR Is the man to talk to about electrical. This is a CRAZY situation. . I have a video that I will post when I get home from work tonight. Just so you can see what the heck is going on.. In short.. When the key is on I have NO blinkers, horn, low beam headlight (the big bulb), no dash lights except the odemeter... Without starting it.. when I push the start button.. everything lights up on the dash.. each time I push the start button... Now here is the crazy thing... When I shut off the key literally take it out.. There still is power.. the headlight NOW comes on.. the little bulb goes off, if I press the horn, the speedodemeter goes crazy up and down.. The blinkers will dim and light the odemeter.. I actually have to disconnect the battery to shut everything down.. So that is my story and im sticking too it.. CRAZY right?? Been going on for 2 months and can't ride the thing with no blinkers or a head light

Problem is not sure what to check... these wires are all in there pretty tight... I can tell you that the black wire that runs from the ignition where I put the key in... in that connector when the key is on there is no juice.. Its only juice when the key is off... in this picture the one with the big black arrow does not light the tester when the key is turned on.. only when its off..

Posted on other board.. Gonna try here as well. All of a sudden, I have no blinkers, headlight (low beam), horn and dash lights.. I have checked ALL fuses and replaced the fuses.. Not sure what wires to check. I have a tester with a bulb that I can test the wires Its just im not sure what ones to check out and test.
