Sorry I double posted.. didn't know the first one posted.. thought it was deleted....
OK so to recap everything.... I do NOT Have everything stripped down.. was hoping that wouldn't be the case....
so here is where we are.
KEY ON---- Scooter starts,Radio on, no blinkers, no horn, (scooter has two head lights one small one big) the small one lights up, odometer on, dash lights out...
KEY OFF--- Scooter off, radio off, odometer stays lit, big head light ON, small one off, push Horn speedodometer goes crazy, push blinkers, odometer goes bright and dim.
Hit STARTER button ALL POWER GOES OFF....
here is a video.. just in case you haven't seen it.. shows everything

I do not have it stripped down.. was really hoping to avoid that.. seems that I cant...
Let me rephrase some things that might clear up some confusion about the key being off and on....
KEY ON-----Scooter starts, Radio works, on the CF moto there are two head lights.. I main big one and a little one.. the little one is on, things that are OFF--- blinkers, horn, big head light, dash lights....
KEY OFF---power shuts down.. NO RADIO, no little light, no dash lights things that stay on.. Big head light, odometer.... IF you press the HORN, the speedodometer goes crazy... If you press the blinkers the odometer goes from bright to dim..
Here is the video of what happens..

Apparently NOT Dave.. seems we have confusion some where...
Ok.. here is the next thing that is going to blow your mind...
ITS NOT THE IGNITION... I went back out to hook up the jumpers from the red to the black... And power came on.. nothing worked of course... but when I took the jumper off... POWER STILL ON.. Now the headlight is on... and the horn moves the speedodometer up and down like always.. and hit the START button.. and it all shuts down...
Now where are we....LOL... im ready to give up..

Ok.. So we are ALL NOT CONFUSED.. especially me.. We are going to do a breakdown of EVERYTHING SO FAR... Beginning------ NO horn, blinkers, flashers, dash lights, and low beam headlights... With the KEY ON.. Radio, speedodometer works (but does not light up) and the scooter starts, brakes and tail light ALL WORK.. I do have one little light next to the head light that works.. im assuming that is the high beam.. When I pull the key out (or just shut the scooter off). The low beam head lights comes on, if you press the horn, the speedodometer goes crazy (the numbers go up and down) if you hit the blinkers.. the ODOMETER goes bright and dim... ( the odometer stays on with the key off as well ) ... If you hit the STARTER button it shuts EVERYTHING DOWN.... power goes off... Also to let you know.. when I turn the key on to start the bike.. if you just hit the starter key ( NO BRAKE) everything lights up... Ok that is the issue at hand that we are trying to fix.... WE need to stop about the disconnect switch.. All I did with that was took the wire from the terminal and split it.. both to the switch and the one to the running right back to the battery.. Just like if would of CUT the black wire at the terminal.. Ok.. now the TESTING PART TESTED----- I unplugged the plug that goes from where I put my key in to the plug that runs to this cluster of wires.... I did what JR asked. I first put jumpers on JUST THE RED AND BLACK WIRES.. turned the disconnect switch to ON.. had power.. the radio worked, you could start the scooter, the brakes and tail lights worked. But the blinkers, horn, light etc DID NOT WORK.. what i didnt test was to see if I took the jumpers off if the power was still on.... Next, I did the other jumpers.. from the red and black as above then from the RED to the Black/Blue wire as requested.... And there was NO Change... Same things as with the red and black wires... With or Without the ignition key plugged in.. IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING.... no blinkers, no horn, no headlight, everything else worked....... Now are we on the same page? The headlights only come on when the key is on.... Also I know for a fact the TAIL LIGHTS WORK.... And if the bulb was blown, it would NOT COME ON when the key is off... Not sure if I mentioned.. They have come back on since the battery disconnect was installed TWICE... but now they are out for good.. As stated above when I installed the battery disconnect the POSITIVE WIRE OR SIDE WAS NEVER TOUCHED... All did was attached Existing terminal wire to the bottom of the switch, I had an old starter used that wire to run from the switch right back to the battery.. It does what it needs to do.. it shuts down the battery.. and turns the battery back on... EVEN WITH it connected back to how it was originally.. ITS STILL DOING THE SAME THING.. I think it has something to do with the STARTER button.. why would that shut down the power?? but im sure im wrong.. since I don't know too much of this which is why im here and we have 5 pages of this....

[replyingto=jr]JR[/replyingto]Ok, help me here.. You said I crossed the negative with the positive, what do you mean by that? When I put this disconnect switch in, everything was disconnected from the battery... ALL I DID WAS take the NEGATIVE wire from the battery and put it on a disconnect switch.. HOw is that crossing the positive part of the battery?? According to all of you.. the negative wire is from the frame to the battery.... if that is the case the Positive was never touched or crossed.. So im not sure what you mean by crossing the negative.. And you guys keep bringing up the fuses if they were out the tail lights would be out.. so shouldn't we rule those out?? And the key switch where I put the key in... How can that be fried if its doing the EXACT same thing with the key switch UNPLUGGED??? When I pull the key out yes there is power.. by why does it shut down when I press the starter button... Something has to be going crazy for that to happen...

I have the tester with the one wire and the alligator clip... Now when you say the switch is fried are you referring to the plug that goes to everything?? OR the Key part and that one piece?? Ok. gotta tell you.. Im seriously confused.. ITS doing the exact same thing with the jumpers as it was doing when the key ignition was plugged.. So im not sure where you guys are going with this.. Unless your referring to the female part of the plug that is no good... as far as the fuses.. I have checked them.. I swapped out the 20 amp fuse on the solenoid. that didnt change anything.. and it CANT be the fuse in the fuse box because that fuse not only has the blinkers, but the tail lights... and my tail lights are fine... So i ruled that out.. Just to reiterate, with the key swith plugged in it is doing the SAME thing its doing with the jumpers. So im confused how the ignition key switch is bad.. I have a volt meter.. and not real sure how to use it... but you mentioned the other site.. He was having me test the green and black/wire as well you didn't... so not sure what that was about.. here is a picture of my meter

Sorry wasn't clear... The brakes lights work... they did before as well.. I tried to start it and it turned over. no issue there as well.
Ok.. here is the next thing I did... I ran the jumpers as instructed.. Still nothing... no blinkers, horn or headlight....
I removed the disconnect switch as well just incase and connected the wire back to the battery like original..
Apologies go to Alley the wire is BLACK. my bad.. Still same thing Nothing....
PS.. One thing I wanted to ask.. Why is it that with the key out... I can press the STARTER switch (button) and it shuts the power off..

Ok just to be sure.. You want me to UNPLUG the switch... According to Alley's picture the plug is still plugged in and the jumper is on the OUTSIDE...
Next Not sure if your familiar with the CF MOTO Fashion or not.. WE don't have have two brake handles.. Only one and a brake pedal. So I will try it with the brake pedal instead..
I will report back to you with my findings...
Here are my findings...
I jumped the red and black wires as requested.. turned the power on.. and I have brake lights... (was never the issue)..
But I have NO blinkers, headlight, horn.... Same as before...
Next step....

JR,
Your the electrical expert, as I said in my previous post.. Lets do this.. Now Just clarify in the picture that Alley put up... You said to run the jumper on the part of the socket that RUNS to everything and NOT to the key right?? That part he drew on RUNS to the KEY???
What do you recommend me using to jump both wires?? I bought some jumper wires from Radio Shack, but the alligator clips are too big to fit.. So what would you recommend??
AND JUST CLARIFY SOMETHING ELSE.. THE DISCONNECT SWITCH HAS A KEY. WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY TO ON.. THERE IS POWER... WHEN YOU TURN IT OFF THERE IS NO POWER... SO NOTHING IS ON WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED OFF OR PULLED OUT... IM REFERRING TO THE DISCONNECT KEY AND NOT THE IGNITION KEY...

[replyingto=scootnwinn]scootnwinn[/replyingto]Honestly, im not here to choose sides.. I just want my scooter working.. frankly if that means getting help from you cause you know what your doing then that's awesome..
Ok. so I messed up because I wanted to put a disconnect on. I like the idea cause im able to take the key out when I go into work so no one can take my scooter since the battery is off... That being said.. Lets try to tackle this mess...
So let's get to work and get this thing up and running... lets see what is fried and what needs to be replaced or fixed.. im hoping its not something expensive or hard to fix...

Well here is the latest.. Im not too familiar with electronics enough to know ... So im not real sure what JR means about jumping the red and black wire on the switch that is not connected to the ignition.. Doesn't the key have to be on for the blinkers and horn and lights to work??? So confused about that..
Ok so here is the crazy thing tonight... So I take apart the key ignition switch.. Meaning if I turn the key on NOTHING... well not so fast.. So I have it connected I turn the key on and well you know nothing works.. So I take the key out like normal everything stays on... then I disconnect the switch plug... And ITS STILL ON... the head lights, the odometer. I hit the blinkers no blinkers but the odometer dims, hit the horn the speedodometer goes up... Now here is the kicker.... I hit the start button.... EVERYTHING SHUTS OFF.. didn't have to turn the power off.. And funny thing was when the key on .... if I press the start button.. everything lights up.. I didnt try the horn and blinkers, but the dash lights... So im more friggin lost now then I was before... And if you guys can shed light on the jumper thing.. the one I bought I don't think is gonna work it has alligator clips on the end and are too big to fit in the holes.. So that is where I stand going to be working on this all weekend..

Yeah, Im sorry I didnt know about the negative. I was getting help from somewhere else and following that. So not sure.
But i will try what you said tonight and see what happens..

Is that because of the switch?? Because it was NEVER grounded to begin with....
per your one drawing.. If I connect the wire to the switch then the frame and the other one to the battery.. Then there is NO so called live wire....
If there was NO switch.. let's take the switch out of the equation.. and take the BOTTOM wire and we connect it back to the Negative terminal where it was.... Then what wire is grounded to the frame??
