Delitire s219 350x10 www.katafori.fi/deli_ur_350-10_s219Good duo tires ....many gravel roads around and these are awesome on them . The originals always felt slippery when I would encounter one of these roads but went for a ride and these just feel like dream ...no problems at all when I get on gravel and on the street they are smooth without any tire noise either . Not a bad price either .

Got my tires in and slapped them on this afternoon . Haven't mounted tires in 10+ years , going to be realllllllly soar lol. Back wheel nut broke my socket wrench and didn't budge so I mounted the tire with the rim still on the scooter. Took it for a ride and hit 74 kph ... :)tires were a little taller than the old originals , black walls , with meaty treads . Drove like a dream and cornered realy nice ;D

you can fix theodometer every so ofter by spinning the odometer wire backwards . Unless things have changed , that won't have any effect on the odometer . They are built with a clutch in them to allow for backward spinning ...it is so you can't roll back the mileage . At one time you could like in the sixties but not after then . My dad was a car salesman and in the 80's til 2010 proved you would actually have to physically roll the gears back or the numbers by hand ( not saying he did it to a customers car lol but seemed all our cars had "realy low miles" when we needed to sell one ). Once they went digital that put an end to that also .

Oh I know , I'm not looking at going cheap 15€ tires at all. But do I ride gingerly to make them last for the next couple of months till I put new winter tires on it or get new tires now and still have to get new winter tires on in a couple of months ? It mandatory here to have snow tires on vehicles from November to April . Kinda I cut out my riding to just a few rides or bite the bullit ....twice ...and get new tires and ride as normal ....a lot lol.
Ps ride now as normal with new tires or not ride and make them last .

Scoot is running great , nice and fast , plenty of top end ......but now I noticed ....I need a new rear tire . Like say what ??!! So now I need a new tire . It looks to last maybe another 1000-1500 Klm but do I replace it now or ride lightly till November when I put new snow tires on it or buy new tires now and in a couple of months .......and not as much ridding till then ....buy new tires again for the winter ? Decisions decisions . What do you guys think ? Any suggestions on tires ? High mileage tires I would want as most of my riding is country roads at full throttle , put 3500klm on it in 8 weeks . Thanks

My local scooter repair guy told me he puts Marvel Mystery Oil in every time he fills up with gas? Is this good or bad? That actually is good for your top end as long as its very small amount . It will help lube the top a little and burns clean . I always used it in my bikes and every time I did inspections everything looked clean and shiny .

Have spent the last couple of days putting my new parts on . They are in my signature . Feels like a totally differant beast now lol. Took her out for a ride today and didn't want to home back home for dinner ;D . She pulls great and can pull small inclines but bigger hills she bogs some , might go with smaller 6 maybe 5 gram rollers . On the flats I had it GPS at 43 mph (70 kph ) but did zoom up to 48 (was going back and forth between 78-80 kph) when I hit a slight decline ....weeeeeeeee very happy .

Don't have a pic but when I was 16 on my Honda urban express I was riding and thought I heard something rattle , turned to look for a sec and my scoot went right , front tire hopped the curb and I laid it down . I slid about 10-20 feet and was stopped buy the steel rod anchoring a telephone pole ....with my knee. Had a shattered knee , multiple scrapes on my arms and thigh .still when it rains it hurts lol.

It's always good to dress right when your riding . A helmet , gloves , thick denim or leather jacket and thick denim or leather pants . Not thin jeans but thick denim like you get at a tractor supply store will do . I always rode with a insulated denim overalls when I rode back in the states . Here I use a leather jacket I bought at a consignment shop for 10€ lol that and helmet and gloves . You think on a scooter you might look foolish but I have been down before at speeds less than 40mph before and the road rash is just as painful as over 40mph.

Thanks , I have thought of that also . May do that or some mod to cover it like a side rail or something this winter . Six months of no riding will be plenty of time to think about it lol.
