Changing the amount of restriction in the exhaust system will change the air flow rate through the engine. That will change the air/fuel ratio. (The fuel flow is fixed by the jet size in the carburetor.)
If you like it more open then you'll need to increase the size of your main jet one or two steps to compensate. Otherwise the engine will run lean and burn a valve.
Most of these exhaust systems aren't really "tuned". They are just sound suppressors. So you're not losing any esoteric benefits from changing the sound qualities.

I have a BN157QMJ in a ZNEN scoot with 12" wheels. So far the only parts that don't interchange with a regular GY6 are the kick start parts because of a different style CVT cover. I changed out the top end with regular parts.
Might have to be careful with the crank though. I don't know if they changed anything there.

Putting them in wrong will change the behavior drastically and also cause premature wear.
Dr Pulley sliders are more expensive but you can tell the difference in quality. They're made with a better plastic.

Messy but not critical so long as you don't let it run low. You can seal that up better after you pull the lid to adjust the valve clearances.

Plastic blades? Really? If it's vibrating badly I'd open it up again and make sure the outer face of the variator is properly seated and snugged down.

I just took one of my regular Phillips and used the bench grinder to make it less pointy. Works much better on the scoot.

Kymco's and Genuine's are both highly regarded for their build quality and durability. They occupy the space between Chinese and Japanese manufacturers. Either would be a solid performer. They also have a stable dealer network to stand behind them.
If you find one that suits you and is within your budget then go for it. Excellent choice.

The Quantum looks like the newer version of the Evo 150. I found a picture of the underseat here. Looks like with this model the battery is under your feet and the gas tank is in the tail so you still don't have that space for storage. The TaoTao's are a little further down the quality scale than the Znen. I made a quick video tonight of me trying to stuff helmets under the seat of my Znen. "Trying" is the operative word. I'll get that uploaded tomorrow morning when I get to work. My connection at home is too slow.

Sounds like a perfect use case for a 150 scooter.
I went through that mental calculation just the other day when I had to run in to town for a small item to finish a project. Ten miles out, ten miles back. Do I take the car which will use nearly a gallon of gas? Or do I take the scooter which will use less than 1/3 of a gallon? Nice day for a ride I decided.
Most of those models will have about the same amount of under seat storage. The Chelsea style maybe a little less because it's a bit narrower under the front part of the seat. They should all fit a full face under the seat but helmets vary a lot so it depends on your helmet.
I have a scoot with almost the same body style as the Roketa Type 65 and the SSR Maron, (mine also came out of the ZNEN factory). I have a couple different hats out in the garage. I'll try to take some pictures tonight after work to see what fits.

Znen MotorsPlease keep in mind that even though you are shopping for a mostly assembled scooter, you should be prepared to get down to the nitty gritty with it to check everything before expecting to ride off in to the sunset. "Big Guy PDI"How much storage space are you expecting? What do you plan on carrying? What are you're general expectations of how you are going to use the scooter?

I agree. That's what the CE foam armor pads are for. They'll absorb the initial impact as you drop to the pavement. They won't save your major bones from the sudden stop if you hit a tree or a post, but they're better than the alternative. When they're properly installed in a decent motorcycle jacket you don't even have to think about them. They're just there waiting.
Which body part can you lose the use of and still show up for work? You decide, and dress accordingly.

It's a gamble.
$700 would be a good starting point for a used 150 that runs and is otherwise complete, legal and road worthy $300 is the starting point for, doesn't run, dead battery, needs carburetor work, busted plastic, bad motor, etc.
The scooter you're looking at could be anywhere in between. You really need to find someone close by that can check it over for you. Otherwise lowball it and be prepared to replace whatever is necessary to make it run right. With the realization that you could easily be back at $700 by time you fix all that may be wrong with it.
