As my wife says: "it takes some big cajones to be the smallest thing on the road!"

DX. If you want full face, they now make the GM54 in a full, face, I'm not sure what the model number is though. I have this as well and I love it.

Since you lean motorcycles and ride close to the side wall, you NEVER want to use anything on the tires.

I am still thinking of buying the Kymco Agility 50. It would be something to get around in town and maybe towing a bicycle trailer behind to go camping. I got a 250cc scooter but save it for highway rides.. The bank would do $50 per month on it.. I've seen the 125 here for around $1000, so that's a possibility as well, but I'm not sold on the looks of the Agility either. For the price, I could live with it though!

Guzziknight, They both are going to be nice rides, I guess i prefer the S200. I might make a suggestion though, if you are ok with a scooter that is a little weird looking, in your price range you might be able to find a Kymco Yager. It is also fuel injected and a fantastic scooter, but the looks take a little time to grow on you. If it is for your wife, the Yager is also a great fit for shorter riders. I have seen one or two on CL for $1750 from the right seller. My dealer wanted about $2500 new I think. www.justgottascoot.com/yager.htmBTW....I love my Downtown, it has been fantastic. Thanks. I don't really like the looks. I tend to prefer the classic looks of the Like, but the People is about as far as I want go.

Thanks for the info. My issue is that price is a huge factor right now, so I'm leaning toward the S200. It's been listed for a while, and he's dropped the price twice, so I can probably get him down some more.
I prefer the looks of the Like, and the fuel injection, but I like the 16" wheels on the S200.
I checked the Kymco forum, but they don't respond very often, not like here, which is why I asked you guys.
I'm going to look at both, hopefully this week, and I'm hoping they'll let me test ride them.
Thanks!

So my wife has her scoot now, and I'm looking for one for me. I think I've narrowed it down to 2 possible rides:
1. 2009 Kymco People S200, 500 miles, asking $1750 2. 2012 Kymco Like 200i, 4100 miles, asking $2000
Engine wise, I think the only difference is fuel injection. Does anyone have any opinions or experience with either/both of these?
Thanks!

I've ridden the Dragon dozens of times on my Guzzi. i won't ride it on a weekend when it's crowded. Best ride I ever had was when it was raining...no one else on it!! The road's not that bad, it's the idiot bikers who pass on blind corners, the cars and trucks who run the turns wide, and most of all, the 18 wheelers who think this is a good short cut, that cause problems! Everyone makes such a big deal about this road, but I think there are so many better roads, that are longer, have plenty of twists, better scenery, and most important: less traffic. When I'm in the area, like I was last week, I ride the Cherohala Skyway, 50+ miles, 5500 foot elevation, and plenty of great views. Route 28, south from the Dragon. There are many others, too many to list. Let everyone stay on the Dragon, so I can ride the other roads and have them to myself. My wife and I on the Dragon on our 1 year anniversary last month:

I could dig a light on the back of the helmet....... can you buy just the light and put it on my current helmet?? You may want to check out Gmax helmets, which is what I have. They have 3/4, full face, and flip front with built in lights in the back. Very reasonably priced. You can get the GM54 flip front like mine for around $130 online. Very good quality as well, don't let the price fool you.

No pics right now, but I have Hi-Viz striping on the saddlebags of my Guzzi. I always wear my Hi-Viz jacket when riding, whether it's the Goose or the Buddy. I also added Hi-Viz striping to my helmet, and since it's Gmax, it has a light in the back that cab be set to stay on or flash, which I use at night as well. I've also added red reflective tape to the back of the bike.
I'll try to take pics when I get home.

I really like the Nolans. Look around online, you can get the N103 on clearance, and it's close enough to the 104 in my opinion.
I currently wear the Gmax GM54S. Excellent helmet for the price. Very comfortable. Also, I like the light built into the back of it. I use it when I ride at night.

We might too if we had any pictures, hint, hint... For some reason, I can't copy the link to my Photobucket image. Will try again when I get home. Right now, it's a stock Blackjack. We're thinking of putting a regular seat on it, maybe red if I can find one, and the luggage rack and trunk.

guzzi, bummer about the Vespa. But sounds like you did right in not buying. So did you get the Buddy? How does it go for your wife? >'Kat Yeah, we were bummed too. Both of us wanted an Italian scooter. We found a few others, but they were just a little too much money for her first bike. We did pickup the the Blackjack on Tuesday. I rode it home from Marietta to Dunwoody on all back roads. Performed better than I expected given my size, 250+lbs! Should do well for my wife. She hasn't gotten on it yet because of the weather. Hopefully she can ride it tonight or tomorrow fir the first time, but I think she'll like it. She loves the looks!
