I'm done fooling around, just need my scooter to run right. What carb do you recommend for a stock scooter with a stock air filter and stock exhaust? Any difference in the carbs that are available on ebay or Amazon?

That looks fine. Bolt it on, twist a screw and ride.

The carb I linked at Amazon has Keihin cast into it. Wouldn't that be an actual Keihin?

Ok, so this is a China clone of a Japanese keihin. From the article you linked it still looks like a good carb according to 1fastqmb's last paragraph.

Insulator O-ring should contact head casting . . manifold O-ring should contact top of insulator.
In the context of preventative maintenance . . consider replacing intake, carb, CDI and coil (performance ignition components are often a waste of money).
Might also check for a timing issue by inserting a probe into the sparkplug hole to sense when the piston is at top-dead-center, then observe if flywheel and cam sprocket marks are properly aligned. Sometimes the crank/flywheel woodruff key will shear.

Okay, here's the update summary< the scooter runs better than ever! I bought the new Chinese Keihin from ebay that I linked. Nice piece and it has an jet. I installed a new manifold spacer and a new o-ring in the manifold. bolted the carb on and it started and idled good. Unfortunately off idle it still had issues sometimes. took it for a ride and it felt like it was starving for gas then cutting out. you could back off and it would stay running. Ck's everything in fuel supply and all was good. When i ordered the carb I also ordered a coil and a CDI just in case and to keep as spares. I installed the coil/wire assy and it runs like new. I didn't install the CDI yet as I wanted to install 1 part at a time to see the results.
