Posted that yesterday in the Lance thread. Yes they are bringing in some great looking 169cc bikes with those ceramic technology engines in them. Nice that they get a more solid ninety mpg with the fuel management system. Said to have greatly improved brakes too.

Like I said before, seeing is believing. And the 2016 Lance scooter the lady at the grocery store had was simply beautiful.

Just went to the Lance website to check out the new 200i - sweet! However, I noted that their 150cc line-up is gone from the website - leaving the 50's, 125's and 200i's...

That makes sense, not much difference between a 125 and a 150.

True - but, IMHO, keep the 150! OK - the 200 is really only 169 cc...

125's are the prevalent scooter engine size in Europe.

Interesting more for the fact that it shows how cheap fuel injection systems are getting. Or at least that's what I assume, as Lance seems to be putting their name on the cheap Sym bikes (China made Syms?) while leaving it on the higher end product under the Sym name.

Javarod, I think what Alliance Powersports is doing is brand identification. From what I have seen there is exactly zero difference between the SYM badged bikes and the Lance rebadged SYMs. I think they figured out that no dealer is going to carry both the same sized models on their showroom floor, and have decided to segment the smaller bikes into the Lance lineup and showcase the larger displacement bikes under the Sym brand.

Seems like it is heading that way. The Jet and Mio were never really big movers either for SYM in the USA so that probably helped this recent transition.
