PGO has been around a long time, made as PGO in Canada and Genuine here in the US. Of course the Buddy is the trademark scooter of Genuine and is celebrating it's 10th anniversary: www.genuinescooters.com/I like the Buddy and it comes in different HP models: But at $2700 MRP it's not attractive to the want a cheap ride crowd. But the 2 year unlimited warranty is hard to beat. Then there is the old time favorite the Stella: 125cc and they also still make it with a 4-speed manual tranny if you like but at $3499 and $3699 they only attract the higher paying type of crowd. They also put a 170cc engine in a Buddy and the Hooligan: While I like Genuine scooters myself I'm more of a 250cc man and like the water cooled engines since I ride in the hot weather of the deep south. I don't think Genuine will ever get away from the PGO/Stella tradition and make a 250cc scooter. While they are pricey they are great scooters for sure. I know a lot of people around Chicago and on the west coast that ride Genuine but I've only seen one or two in my part of the country. JR

There is a pretty good Genuine Scooter Dealer in Austin Texas and they seem to be moving a number of them as an alternative to those who do not want to pay Vespa prices.
My nephew really liked his Stella and rode it to commute to work for a good many years.

Don't get it bent now vespa and paiggio both where ROLLED in PGO IM THE 80s that's why it is a bit cheaper PGO originates from PIAGGIO what no one also mention is that Yamaha and Honda played a roll in my PGO as well out of all them I got the grand pap took a lot of work to get her where I want it. What would you say the vintage 87 star 50 is worth if you mix the price of 83 Yamaha riva CV50K 50CC and the Honda Aero NB 50 the specs and jug mount at the case is as close as you can get to OEM PERIOD for vintage.

Doubt it, all the new PGO is kin from genuine, driving grandpa + "I am SURE my gals the last of her kind" the only left is identical to ligero 150 from that time period which has 14 miles on the speedo owned by james brewimgton in lacey, wa. Hes been out of bus for 21 years he wants 2g for it piercing mint white metal body no damage. If you want pics ombox me he is 60

"While I like Genuine scooters myself I'm more of a 250cc man and like the water cooled engines since I ride in the hot weather of the deep south." The biggest available Genuine is the Blur 220i. It will hit 70mph, but it will not keep up with a good water cooled 250. I can't wait to see the new Genuine 400cc motorcycle when it hits the showroom floors. My local dealer, ScooterSmith, owns a nice BSA twin, so I know he is eager to get a retro Genuine 400cc motorcycle into the building.

Mmm that sounds cool one of these days ill upgrade to a new genuine buddy, the body is nice but that green is ugly as kat dookie. If you a chance purchase vintage history, how much would you pay I want 1500 before I even think about even concidering it.
