My Roketa 257cc has been setting in the carport since Sept. 15th and the battery has been indoors and has a full charge. We are starting to get some warm days and I have the itch to ride. Is there anything I need to do to my ride before starting her up or do I just slap in the battery and crank till it starts? Thanks for reading.

Since the carb fuel bowl is vented, some gas may have evaporated. Spray starter fluid (preferably with a top end lubricant) into the carb vent hose to mix with whatever remains in the fuel bowl . . and cross your fingers.
If fuel stabilizer was not added to the tank prior to storage, some water may have stratified at the bottom of the tank . . so anticipate some initial rough running.

My one has been sitting in the garage for 7 month. Charged the battery and sprayed starter fluid into the air filter. Started up with the first try :-)
but I think you should handle the bike gently the first miles

Well last Tues. was a nice day so I put in the battery that had been indoors on the shelf all winter....checked oil...gas...coolent...tire presser...put the key in and cranked her over. Took a few attemptes but she turned over. What a fine sound to hear after all winter. on with a light jacket...helment and took a 30 mile sweet ride. All is well now. It is the ride.
