I had seen these before, but didn't realize they were built on a scooter chassis. Its a leaner trike MP3 under the shiny body.

Very expensive, but I like the idea. Get a nice Chinese trike scooter and add a low cost body. The body could be built from plywood or coriplast with a substructure. Would cost about 5 grand plus sweat equity.

Thanks for sharing. That's the first time I have seen one of those on the road.

Randy Grubb's "Blastolene Bros." shop makes incredible "dream-machines". Some of these have made appearances on "Storage Wars" with Barry driving them...
The 2-wheel Decopod is absolutely cool! Check out "Decopod" on the Internet to see them... They look like they're right out of a 1930's "Flash Gordon" serial. What head-turners they are!
Ride safe!

Randy went with aluminum for a Flash Gordon look and he only makes a handful of them custom order with each one being unique. All done and told the aluminum adds about 20 to 40 lbs to the bike which is why he uses the Piaggio bikes since they are rated for 465 lbs of rider, parcels, etc.
He's made a Decoliner Motorhome, Decopod (2 wheels on the BV250), TriPod(3 wheels on MP3 250), Harley, Jet Car, Pissed Off Pete, Etc, etc. It takes a lot of work to hand form the aluminum and polish it into the rolling art he creates.

"Randy Grubb's "Blastolene Bros." shop makes incredible "dream-machines"". Agreed. Even the Decopod helmets are spectacular. You can see the helmets in the Leno's Garage video.
