For some time we have not had the google ads at the top of the vendor ad banners and it's because of the ad free donations over the time the forum was started. Unfortunately those donations have been used and the ad free fund is down to $0. The fund that keeps the ads from showing goes straight to our server provider Proboards and pays for what they call page views. They make their money off of advertising and if you don't want to see the ads then the forum has to purchase ad free time which is in the amount of $6 per 50k of page views which is generally what it takes for a full month. One can donate as little as $1 if they like.
Donations can be made by scrolling down to the bottom of the forum and looking for "Click here to remove banner ads from this forum" and clicking on it and following the directions on how to donate. Once a donation is made I'm sent a notice and can apply the funds to remove the ads which I have done at the 1st of each month for some time now.
It's up to the members here and I am in no way promoting donations as I receive nothing for the ad removal again these donations go straight to Proboards.
