Who gives psychos like that a driver license? The motorcycle driver was doing something wrong, but that doesn't give the old fart the right to kill him and the passenger I hope he serves jail time.

I was really surprise he passed on a double white line it looks like car driver had a little road rage and just did it in spite. two wrongs really don't make a right.

Yes, indeed - the motorcyclist was trying to pass around double yellow lines. Leave that violation to the police... Now, the bast&rd that quite obviously purposefully swerved out to hit him? I sincerely hope and pray that he gets the book thrown at him, does some time in prison, and gets to meet "Bubba", who I hope ends up being a motorcycle/scooter riding enthusiast...

Mom was a bit sympathetic since the car driver said there was a wasp. I said I question that, since his first words were "I don't care I don't care." I know if I had a wasp fly in and I swerved and hit someone, my first words would be "Are they okay?" followed by "There was this wasp that flew in, I just reacted are they hurt?" Mom had to agree, she'd be concerned about the person she'd hit.
Although we both agree biker should NOT have been illegally passing. He's darn lucky 1) they're not both dead, 2) his buddy was videoing.
Folks, PLEASE drive legally and safely, and watch out for the stupids like the driver of the white car.

One lesson from this, if you have a passenger on your bike, don't be aggressive, your passenger almost always ends up worse. In this case the passenger on the bike is in critical condition. Being a passenger on a two wheeled vehicle is one of the most dangerous positions you can be in, so the driver needs to be extra safe!

A huge responsibility as a driver, you are in charge of two lives, the passenger doesn't have a chance to avoid the risks, he/she can only trust the good judgment of the driver.

I've had two similar experiences. Once, a squirrel ran across the road in front of this car in front of me. He SLAMMED on his brakes to not hit the squirrel. My life wasn't a considerations. Had another one where a dog ran out in the road. Guy in the other lane came into my lane head on to avoid the dog. I went in the ditch. good thing the dog and squirrel both escaped unharmed. I know alot of people that have more regard for animals that human beings. I grew up on a farm, and love my cat to death, but they are animals!

yep. A classic case of "He was a gettin' in front a me by cheatin' so I thought I'd scare the shoot out of him. Did you say assault with a deadly weapon? er... I mean... I was bit by a spider and I accidently hit him , mhhmm.

Right after that story they did the story on the Affluenza guy. He's intoxicated, plows into a car on the side of the road, killing 4 people, his lawyer claims he's too rich to be held responsible, and he gets probation and no jail time at all. If that isn't open, unabashed, corruption, I don't know what is.

This old guy is a piece of work. Thankfully, he got caught on video.
There was no wasp, or now, a "spider"... He's a reprobate who did the same thing my neighbor tried on me. A copycat of another "PIT" on a local motorcycle a few days ago, also injuring the man and woman on it. They were doing NOTHING wrong either. THAT guy was never caught, and I wonder if it might be the same guy.
He has a rap-sheet for assault, terroristic threats and reckless driving. And yes, he does NOT care that he nearly killed the guy and gal on the bike.
He's 72, and a genuine disgrace to us old codgers... A cagy cager-codger so to speak... LO not so L...
He needs to spend his "golden years" UNDER the jail in Texas. Problem is, now with TWO of these attacks in a week, every drunk red-neck in TX will be pulling this "Easy Rider" garbage. We'll all have to be DOUBLY vigilant with surrounding traffic. That SUCKS!
Ride SAFE, and REALLY watch yer' six!

cato, I can't totally blame someone trying not to hit any animal. Sometimes you just react before you can think.
My MSF teachers knew of bike drivers who swerved and wrecked avoiding Rocket J Squirrel. They kept telling us--"If it's a single meal, don't swerve; if it's several meals, try to avoid it."
Emotions esp kick in when you get to dogs--"That's someone's pet! Can't hit Lassie!" (besides that Lassie is at least three dinners....)

Here in NYC stuff like this is goes on all day long. I have thought to carry a 2x4 and follow these people. When they get out of there car charge them and see how they react. Even when a cager squeezes me I smack the car. In most cases they get the hint.
The friend of that rider should have been some what more aggressive toward the old man. If it would have been me the old man would have soiled his depends and needed to visit the dentist.

Just about every motorcycle class tells you to use your full lane, and to keep your distance from other vehicles. If the rider had been in the left part of the passing lane he might have had a chance to dodge.

If the rider had been in the left part of the passing lane he might have had a chance to dodge. The drivers timing was perfect, the rider never had a chance. That old man was cold and calculating. In a non road rage/spiteful situation I would agree with you. John
