How's it going, new member here just picked up my first scooter yesterday. Bought a mint condition 2005 roketa bali 150 with only 409 miles on it for a whopping 10 dollars . It was a deal of a lifetime I guess you could say. Anyway so far I absolutely love this bike . Anyone have any first hand experience with this bike ? Like it , hate it ?

foxrider603 Man that is a deal, heck with it in that condition you could easily sell it for $500 and make a buck. Yes I have a 08 Bali 150, didn't even know they went back as far as 05? Rarely ride it anymore due to the fact that the wife upgraded to a 250 scooter but not before she put 3500 miles on the Bali. It's a little heavy but a good scooter. The old touring style and a copy of the Honda Foresight, easy to work on and dependable. JR

She bought it brand new drove it for a few months an didn't like how heavy it was an parked it , it sat for 2 years in till she wanted the space back in her garage an offered it to me for 10 bucks. Brought it home drained out all the old gas filled her with fresh fuel. Charged the battery an started right up. I do have a question though it does smoke alittle , is this due to just sitting so long, runs great idles just fine an has plenty of power, she gets up an goes for a 150. I haven't had a chance to really take it for a long drive yet to see if it clears up . Haven't gotten a chance to register.

Try changing the engine and gear oil. You may want to even change the engine oil, take her for a ride, then change it again. That way all the bad oil is cleared out.
If you have questions on the process of changing the oils or continue to have problems, open a new thread in the Garage Area to see if we can fix them.

So I'm totally new to these little 4 stroke engines so be patient lol I'm used to my 2 stroke quads . But when I checked the engine oil it was completely full up till about an an inch an a half to the top, seems like an excessive amount of oil any chance its just to full an pushing its way out through the cylinder

Jeez, I know it was only 10 bucks, but IMO, leave it stock as it is. I mean if you only know mostly about 2smokers and already have questions about even doing something as simple as an oil change, then my advice is that you shouldn't even go there... For a good while at least... Get used to the little beast as is then think about messing with it like that later.
You should be able to check the oil level by having the bike level, on the center stand and using the oil fill cap. (it has a measuring dipstick as part of its design.) Typically, you would check by just inserting it into the fill hole, but do NOT screw it in. Over-fill will very often give problems, usually with excess oil getting blown out of the crankcase vent which is usually directed to the air box and there it can saturate the air filter and restrict air flow to the carb.
Keeping an eye on oil level in these little 4stroke motors is one of the best preventative maintenance measures you will need to keep up with. No messy gas/oil mix to bother with or injection oil reservoir to keep filled. And it shouldn't use up the oil at the 2T rate either. And that is with 4 stroke motor oil.... just a reminder.
