Hey guys,
I am trying to wire a 6" Chinese LED bar to a 12v VDC source on my scooter. What I do not understand is the stock wiring for the headlights is running of AC from the stator. I hooked it up to the black wire coming off my rectifier and that burned out the LEDs. Where can I properly hook up my LED bar and get a strong 12 vdc source? Could it be that my rectifier is working incorrectly?
My rectifier isn't stock and may not be the correct type for however many poles my stator has. The stator only has one yellow wire coming from it but my rectifier has 4 yellow wires which I have attached to the one wire. Thanks for any help.

Not sure about the rectifier, but you can run the light bar directly off of the battery.

Side Note,
The wires on a scoot may NOT be the same color as described in a diagram.........
Just a random thought to help confuse things. Sorry
