In looking for a hard to find part for my jonway raptor, I contacted Kenny at scrappydog scooters. He did research and actually called me on the phone! Even though they do'nt carry the part. scrappys wil still keep looking. Thats customer service!! I've purchaced from them before, and will again. How many BIG Parts dealers will respond to an individual like they did?

I was there on Monday, needed a new air filter for the 50cc, and turn signal relay for my 150cc. He always has a smile no matter how many weird parts I ask about!

Must be nice to go to a store and get what you what you need instead of always ordering. Reno's shops aren't quite there yet, if you looking for a part they say 'I can order it', so can I. Scrappys would do well to open up a northern shop?

beenriding We're actually not a dealer in the traditional sense, but are in fact a manufacturer/importer/distributor. In the beginning, we didn't sell to the public, and we didn't have an open door to the public, however, due to popular demand long ago, we started selling direct to the public and opened a front 'will call' desk. This expanded into a small showroom with some of our more popular parts. Local dealerships save time and shipping costs by coming by our warehouse in person, or send runners. We don't advertise as a dealership and make no effort to compete with dealerships. We do offer discounts to dealers as we expect them to buy in volume, and over a long period of time, and dealers are supposed to know what they want and need, and have very few if any up front questions or after sale issues or returns. This saves us time and money, so we pass on the savings to them. We have, however, considered opening a warehouse in Australia. why? during the winter, australia is actually a large part of our business during that slow time because australia is in the summer time during our winter time. Sounds nice, and sure would be cool to go down there every winter. Hopefully we get enough business potential this winter to justify it, but it sure would be a big risk.

scrappydog? who's scrappydog, never heard of them. just kidding. ever wonder how many of these posts are from employees of the businesses they tout? well, i'm an actual nobody from nowhere and i can tell ALL of you that scrappydog is indeed "all that". fast, prompt delivery of parts and no ripoffs. when looking for parts online, you just never know who to trust, who might "be here today, and gone tomorrow". i will never forget ordering an airbox for my scooter on friday, and it being delivered on monday. they must've strapped a jet engine on that thing and lit it on fire. kudos? nope, just business as usual.
the real question is, why does scrappy do this? competition, that's why. that's why i gotta put a plug in for parts for scooters. another great online dealer.
competition between these two gives you, the buyer, fantastic service.

I guess I've spent around $500 at scrappy's in the 4years I've known about them, that's not really enough to build a brick and mortar store around. My orders always arrive within a week, but still I wish I could just go there and touchy feely before purchase. Also having top notch techs face to face is a huge plus. Keep that store open!
