So my 1fiddy has joined this summers club of She's Pukin Oil all over. Was originating from the top, just dumpin goin down he road, almost a steady drip. Well Lookie like the"O" Ring on the Starter. Ok.no problemo Remove "O" ring and magnified had no blemish?? fits kinda loose? ok Have complete gasket kit but NO "O" ring in there. WTHeck only can get "O" ring with new starter?? Match up at two Auto Parts stores an 30 cage miles later. De-grease with Simplegreen. Use ol painless to install Mod. "O" ring setup. Fixed!! I Lookie very carefully at the old o ring and the only thing I see is a casting type line, it fit loose to what I would normally like.

Your scoot have a prior owner that maybe changed the O-ring? Or is it possible that after time and so many heating/cooling cycles that it lost elasticity and just stayed a bit stretched out? First time I've heard of an oil leak from something like that... learn something new every day. Glad you got it fixed.

I'm the og owner MFGD date of 5/13, delivery 8/13 just over 1,000 miles. Ive worked with allot of "O" ring type seals and it didn't fill up the groove on the starter like I would have liked it. I found one of three that made it stop leaking. I started large enough that could not be persuaded in and etc till fix. test rode the snit out of it, dry

Wow, I,m very sorry about the mess you had to clean up...........
A visit to Home Depot for a set of random rubber rings maybe a decent idea.... ( bought mine in the home plumbing area) A set of various sized rings/ plugs/ grommets and general rubber pieces that save a trip from a contractor........
Not real sure how we can help since you know the problem already but, EVERY homeowner should have a variety of rubber seals. (if you want kids or not) ---- Sorry bad joke
PLEASE, keep us updated on the project!!!!!!!!
Note--- I have had some problems with autoparts stores just because they often need exact Modle/Make/ Year of the vehicle being worked on, Most Scooters are not really in there database of parts selection......
Maybe bring the part in to be physicly looked at if your still missing the Big O......
Good Luck!!!!!

Better to leak oil and know how to fix it than to leak gas and find out as you fly vertically from a fireball that was once your pride and joy.
