Could there be some place or some one who could change tires on a scoot or can the tire and rim be purchased together? Thank You.

I use a C-clamp to break the bead. I use flat head screwdrivers to walk the tires on and off. I decided to use innertubes with these tires.
First time is a real pain, but if you do it a few times it gets easy.
I keep extra tires on hand and new inner tubes.

rome4rome - I would call your local motorcycle shop and see if the have a tire machine that will accommodate a 10" rim. Many do, and they will usually cut you a break if you bring in the rims off the bike as well. Otherwise get some good tire spoons and break out the elbow grease. Depending on the tire , it's a JOB to do them by hand (Higher quality tires usually have stiffer sidewalls and tend to be more difficult to install than cheaper rubber).

Motorcycle Superstore also has some good 3.5/10 tires in stock for decent prices. I put the Michelin S83s on my scooter recently and the ride is so much smoother. www.motorcycle-superstore.com/5/32/404/5940/ITEM/Michelin-S83-Classic-Scooter-Tire.aspxUnless you're really short on cash, i'd recommend calling a few scooter or motorcycle shops and find out how much they'd charge to change the tire if you bring in the tires/wheels only. Also make sure to check the valve stems for cracking rubber and replace them also while changing the tires.

Anyone puts grease /tar on their rims? I saw a car mechanic do this once, to better seal the tires.
