So, first day of the new tag law in NC I do the whole DMV shuffle and get the tag.
Get home to put it on and the tags do not line up with my tag mount. Easily fixed with a drill, and a couple bolts. Going to tack weld the bolts from the backside and put the nuts on the tag side for easy removal.
Anyone else run into this minor inconvenience?

I hear about it all the time. Somebody told me about it yesterday, as a matter of fact.

If the CMO is signed and notarized in your name you can use the updated MVR-1A form. They confiscate the CMO and give you a registration. (Legally now the state owns my bike, just like everyones vehicle...) Total cost was $23.00. Edit: License and theft beureau is giving a 30 day grace period for owners to come into compliance.
